If the choice is relegation/turmoil but we keep the name then I'll take it.

We will have the admiration and respect of the whole country and beyond.

To kowtow to one man's ill-conceived tacky name change because it guarantees us short term 'success' by being in the Premiership, is cowardly and weak.

As a collective group of supporters, we need to step up to the plate and confirm no name change whatever the consequences.

Is it possible to not include the promotion to the Premier League and the Sky money we are going to get as part of business success?
I thought relations with sections of the community had been improved.Did he not give much reduced priced tickets for certain games to youngsters whilst stopping lots of free loader tickets being given away?
I am very happy with the results of AAs decisions with regard to the club.He will make mistakes but so do we all.If the alterative is PMT and his mates doing a Pompey and almost dying of joy when Peter Levy gets to interview them when we are in league two I will stick with AA every day of the week thanks.
I would now be delighted if CTWD followers boycott all games for the rest of time. Many of us have had more than enough of them speaking on our behalf and misrepresenting our actions

Where's the proof Hull Tigers will be successful?

There isn't any. Because he's not shown us anything to alter my opinion on the matter.

All he's done is gobbed off in the papers. He's caused all this not the fans.

Ridiculous post.... And here lies the problem... small-minded people who don't want to change, and therefore compare that change however great or small to the most tyrannical events in history.

Tell me... do Portsmouth fans have your admiration? Or your pity?

Give us proof it'll be a success. You can't. It's blind optimism.

    We're being realistic.

I've never been vocal on the name change and Mr. Allam but what Happy has said mirrors my feelings to the letter. A group of "know alls " has possibly killed my Football Club. I thank you all.

Please keep up. This is not about the business plan for a name change. This is about the exit plan for an owner who wants to recover his investment, and what state the club will exist in afterwards (if at all).

One of the national papers (I think it's the Guardian) today suggested an alternative - why not have 'TIGERS' emblazoned across the shirts instead of a sponsor if it will bring in that much extra money?

Precisely. Hull City Tigers Limited need money to be successful in the Premier League. Geraghty may have been ham fisted but he offered Assem Allam a joint venture to develop the KC. It was refused, on the surface because Geraghty gave a radio interview. If Assem Allam had rang up Brady and said he wasn't happy could we keep it private and I'll meet you next week City may well have an annual revenue of £6 to £8 million from an hotel flowing into its coffers.

Assem Allam has spent his money getting us into the Premier League and told Peter Levy he had no more money. We came within hours of signing Shane Long. If we had of done our deficit for this year would have been £20 million. That money would have to come from somewhere other than Assem Allam as his pockets are empty.

He could have looked at ways of increasing revenue from the Hull and East Riding community. I don't know how many local companies have been approached for sponsorship or invited as special guests to the club. I don't know if Siemens have been approached. He could even have picked up the phone to the council. Manchester City and Swansea City seem to have no problems with their council owned stadiums.

Instead we are told that changing the name from Hull City to Hull Tigers will bring in millions. I haven't seen anybody who believes it will. You talk about Premier League football. If the money runs out what happens to Tom Huddlestone and the rest of our squad. We could end up being the only club in history celebrated for its failure. The only club to get promoted under one name and relegated under another.

Finally lets talk about the elephant in the room. The Premier League and the FA. Its all well and good saying I can do what you want its my business but what about the clubs you are members of. How do you think they feel about all this publicity? Who do you think they blame? What can they do if they don't agree with him?

This is about the future of our club and where we get the money from to fund premier league football.

Our chief executive is leaving and Ehab is quiet, do you really think somebody at the club is sending him digests of these message boards?

Not according to the information he himself has offered in his defence. It looks like he never even got as far as writing it on a *** packet.

Few of us are afraid of change IF it's for good reason.

No he hasnt killed it. He's taking his money out, which is reasonable isnt it? Where we end up doesnt matter does it? The team name you want is still there unless we have to change it and reform.
