Imagine if AA tried to tell you what to do with your assets? You'd laugh at him and call him an idiot!
Worth it for who? We are all individuals on here, we all pipe up with our own self important rants, as if the next post we make will be the one that settles the debate - but all of us mean squat. We're just a group of football fans with differing opinions. Just the same as at every club. And I would challenge you to name any club anywhere in the land that would have just said "a name change? yeah fine." There wouldn't be one - because that's what football fans are like. This isn't an issue about Allam and the name change - it's an issue about Allam not being able to deal with his customers. He may even have got the name change through if he had played his cards right, kissed the babies and whispered the right sweet nothings. Just like a politician should - because that's exactly what he is now. If he walks away and scraps the club now - then that's what this was coming to from day one, because for all of his business ability, he can't deal with people. A saviour? No - just another chairman to add to that ever growing list we have of twats.
Allam's comments in The Independent are nothing short of a disgrace. I know he likes to relate football to business so why he thinks an owner of a football club can treat his customers, the fans, with such contempt is beyond me.
So he's a fluke? please don't make yourself look daft, I thought you were a decent poster but it's borderline ******ed to suggest he's like a child who got lucky making £300million. and yes he is 73, which needs to be taken into consideration.
I'm shocked, I can't actually believe he's said ''they can die'' How the **** do you come out with a statement like that, especially with his history in his homeland.
No - a saviour. No Allam = no club. We'd be supporting AFC Hull in some Evo Stick league with crowds of 20 on a school playing field with volunteers for linesmen.
You can only claim a Doctor saved your life, if you eventually leave hospital. Given his attitude to the fans, I'm not sure Evo Stick has been averted.
I quite agree. I had always held out hope that this name change thing was just a naive mis-understanding and that his original promise of 'giving back to the city that made me so wealthy' was still intact. Unfortunately after listening to his recent media interviews I now think he's just a complete twat. FFS, we should be enjoying this season in the Prem and seeing what ripples and upsets we can trigger. Why is this stupid **** happening?
There's another side to this too. After his latest unbelievable outburst, whose to say that Brucie wouldn't think ''**** it'' i'm off first chance I get.
All they do is politely explain why his lies and contradictions aren't true. Should they just let him say what he likes and not oppose it? The things he says are appalling in various ways. Someone needs to put him right in the public domain. Uninformed people will see his comments and assume they're reasonable.
TO be honest at the moment I'm pissed off with Both AA and CTWD, anyone else feels this way? I'm only on the fence because both sides are ruining the club, kinda sick of all this ****, tomorrow's game is clearly gonna be overshadowed by this and probably the entire season. This season is going to be a joke no matter how it ends.Neither side are filling themselves with pride and it's getting embarrassing.
Wouldn't surprise me at all. Remember Brucie's comments after we won promotion regarding Allam - 'People like him aren't in it for the money. He's done it for the people of Hull' And at the time I was glowing in the euphoria of it, thinking we had such a great future ahead.
Completely agree. I too, like many, was wary to criticise Allam at the first because of all he'd done for the club. However, after the events of the past couple of weeks I think it's now impossible not to question Allam's ownership of the club. At the moment his position as owner seems to be becoming more untenable every day.
No they aren't. You're desperate to believe CTWD are somehow a threat but you've not once explained why that is or offered any evidence.
You think the players notice a couple of banners? Or think violence, which was actually a few people having a tug of war over a banner, could spill over on to the pitch? Bloody hell, in the 1970s they carried on playing oblivious to running battles and carnage on the terraces. As for CTWD, they have consistently said it wasn't an anti Allam campaign but purely an anti name change campaign.
Just remember it was AA that indirectly created CTWD. Either he was incredible naive or wilfully negligent about the amount of feeling a name change would cause. It's inconceivable the only only feature of the club to have been around since its inception would provoke strong feelings amongst a sizeable proportion of the customers. You can't just be intransigent.
