Tbf, I hate it when the banner goes in front of me, especially if the match has started. I miss the first half! "They can die as soon as they want" Is this taken out of context, or does he mean it literally?
Probably what you're getting at, but the rest of the family don't agree with his decision either. I've said it since about 3 days after he took over, I have never trusted him, he's off his rocker. As for a good business brain, what has he actually done, business wise only, to improve the club? Do we have better relations with schools, clubs and the community? More marketing presence? Higher profits? More assets? Any of the above?
could any other owner in the history of business, pretty much tell his customers they can die for all he cares? he needs a new PR manager ASAP i'm worried he's gone senile and his family or those around daren't touch him, he's power crazy like what the actual **** "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." Abraham Lincoln
These flags and banners we're meant to be bringing tomorrow... We're not allowed Hull City, or City til I die. I'm confused as to what's allowed and what's not? Maybe everyone should sit in complete silence (even more than usual!) so we don't risk upsetting the crazy fella.
Thought he said a few a weeks ago that he didn't care about us singing City Till We Die. Pretty petty from him. Obviously didn't listen to the CTWD group that went to see him last month. He won't sell up. He'll want to get his money back.
I've been saying this for ages. "Oh but he got us promoted." Did he ****. Bruce and the team got us promoted.
Despite these ravings of a madman, you’ll still get the few on here who’ll defend him to the hilt – even after these latest insults to all fans. Personally, I wanted reconciliation with AA – but his resolution seems too obtuse: he’s far too gone. Make no mistake, this is a message to all fans, not just CTWD. So, what you gonna do? Be a hostage to this man and his intransigence? Meekly let him dictate to you how you support your club? Let him change our club beyond recognition and perhaps even uproot the club from the city…? Fight this now, whilst we’ve still got the chance to save our club.
Offensive and arrogant. I'd like to buy some advertising space - "We are Hull City A.F.C.Please leave keys to the club to the men in the white coats."
What annoys me is Mr Allam has all caused all this, but despite all that the fans will turn against each other, if he does leave.
I really don't see how reconciliation is possible after this outburst. This is disgraceful - and no way for someone who runs a business to speak to his customers. He might want to remember when attendances were dropping early in the promotion season, and we couldn't get near 20k in the stadium. I'm pretty certain it's not the 4-7k that have suddenly turned up in the last three months who are getting their knickers in a twist over the name change.
If he does decide to sell up, I think with Hull winning the City of Culture bid, we may get a fair bit of interest in buying the club........just as long as its not Bates or the milan mandaric
Perhaps, although the second half of the quote doesn't make much sense if he is referring to batteries.
Hopefully, this latest (in the line) of insults will persuade more of the 'not bothereds' to stand and fight this. History shows us that appeasement does not work.
Yep, and plenty of those backing him because he saved us are the ones quickest to come forward to slag off AP (TWF aside obviously) It's a shame that this shambles has overshadowed our season, its become a farce to be honest, we play Liverpool today but I'm struggling to find massive amounts of motivation for the game to be honest, and I used to look forward to games against Rochdale and Bury!
How about distracting attention during the season? The same could be said about starting a name change campaign during a notoriously difficult promotion season
I doubt it. Allam obviously had alternative motives to buying us, but never got his own way when the council rightly told him where to go. And that's why we're in the position we're in at the minute. I doubt the City (Kingston Upon Hull) has much to offer, unless the potential buyers are local. City need to stay in the Premier League to attract interest, if Allam does go.
"if the fans do not accept his authority" The words of a wise businessman to his customers, a chairman with an understanding of football? Why say anything at the moment, never mind in the press, especially after making such a dogs dinner of previous media releases? It'll have investors and players queuing up to deal with him...won't it?
