Oh FFS. Apparently it's from a spoof twitter account, and as expected Flyer is immediately all over it. Harry has NOT said we were down to the bare bones, he hasn't even spoken to the media yet. Bond gave the post match interview, which is now up on QPR player.
You make a good point there Beth. From what i've seen and heard Watford are playing very attractive and attacking football (the sort Flyer wants us to play), but i wouldnt swap league positions for all the Charlie in Colombia. It's one result, one game and as Cpl Jones used to say ... 'Don't Panic' !!
Good grief this world has gone to the dogs It stings But certain there will be many more poor results by us but more importantly from and to other teams We will win it by 10 points
The comments were taken from another fourm, in fact his real comments were worse and just shows how clueless he is. Was he at a different game? âWithout playing that great in the first half, we controlled the game. We didnât create many chances but came in 1-0 up and I felt in the second half we would score again and go on and win. âAt half-time I felt comfortable. I couldnât see any way we wouldnât win. We werenât in any trouble whatsoever
They were from a WATRB thread titled "Redknapp's spoof twitter quote" What exactly has he said that you don't agree with? I think we all thought we would win, and weren't in a lot of trouble.
The headline was changed after it was posted. We only had one shot, never threatened them, were never going to score again so that always means one kick and they are level and in trouble. Its not as if their goalie played a blinder, in fact he was the only reason why we scored at all.
It must've been edited pretty quickly, because I looked on WATRB soon after your post & "spoof" was definitely included. A bit remiss not to correct your initial posting after seeing the edit though? Unless keeping the incorrect info distributed fitted your agenda or something... No, we had 17 shots, to their 13. Sure we only had one on target, but there were a few decent-ish chances. Hill's shot from the edge of the box, Kranjcar's punt out of the stadium from a similar position. A couple of headers from Johnson/someone else in the box. In general though I agree, we were very poor. I don't see how any of that changes the fact that Redknapp's post match comments were pretty reasonable though? I'm glad he's as pissed off with the lack of goals as we are- maybe that'll see a more dynamic performance produced on Tuesday.
Or I logged off and only found out myself from this thread. I wasnt online from 618 to 945, you'll see a big gap in my posting history. Check for yourself. http://www.not606.com/search.php?searchid=2646020
I stayed until the bitter end yesterday. As usual AJ and Barton walked over to thank the away support, followed by i think Simpson ( my eyesight is dire) and Green. The latter 2 then proceeded to start having a row which almost saw them squaring up to each other before barton said something to them Disharmony in the ranks? The rest of them couldnt be arsed to make the 50yd stroll and just wandered off. Poor really after that display I do wonder if its all a bit on edge behind the scenes
I was told everything had cleared up but Ill ask again because it doesnt look right to me, Kranjcar looks like one of Hughes mercenary signings and very few other players seem interested in busting a gut.
I get the feeling some of our players saw us get away with it in the first ten games and thought they could now stroll through to promotion, I was genuinely shocked at the lackadaisical attitude yesterday and even to an extent at the Charlton game. Redknapp is paid to get the best out of this lot but it seems since McLaren went to Derby we've lost the conductor of the orchestra. I'm really concerned that after making an unbelievably good start we are about to throw it all away from a position of strength. This month could make or break us...
