That's good. I'll give you an honest answer. I'm busy preparing something for the campaign. You may get to hear about it or you may not. Its some detailed background work. I often come home from work and face hundreds of campaign emails about leaflets, meetings, public meetings, handing out badges. I know I should read them all but I don't. I meant it when I said I'm not really interested in the membership numbers. Why worry about stuffing 200, 300, 400 envelopes when I can ignore it until I pick them up. Honestly I'd rather not know. After the public meeting I will be interested because we'll have handed out the leaflets, organised cash payments and had the meeting. It would give a better indication of our numbers. I'm sorry if you find that disappointing, but its how I am and I'm really too old to change.
I can’t help but feel there’s a bit of schadenfreude towards CTWD from a fair few of these ‘critics’. Day in day out, year after year, these apoliticised tramps have got fat and festered on a la carte Sky TV and cheap supermarket lager – doing nowt – cementing their ignorance and characterising it with one liners like: “I hate politics – they’re all the same y’know” They’ve given away the fought hard for franchise for **** all with no regrets. Now, before their eyes, they see the beginnings of a movement (albeit one to save a football team’s history rather than a political movement) – people organising and doing something they believe in for something they believe in. These people have had the fight knocked out of them years back (if there was any in the first place) and the sight of people they know doing something positive has caused their inferiority into overdrive hence the bitterness we see on this forum on a daily basis.
We know exactly how many have been online to register, unfortunately it's a different number to the number who have paid and PayPal is ****, so until we've married them up, no official numbers will be released. As Obi has said until the launch event and the widespread leafleting, it's largely irrelevant anyway. For those who are so desperate they can't way a week, it was about 700 last I heard and that was midweek.
In the near future, we're gonna see so many of these collaborators backtracking and revising as they fall in. We should shave their heads outside of The Eagle.
I thing you need a reality check 'Luvvy'. This is a debate about the proposed name change of a football club, not a melodramatic wartime propaganda film FFS.
Because you write like a pretentious tit. Get off your little pedestal and try using everyday language.
Whiny Cyrus? First it was grudge bumming now this. What is this language you speak? I mostly converse in MLE so I'm struggling somewhat to follow you.
You write like a young angry girl - what's everyday language? You doing an adult literacy class somewhere or summat?
