Demba Ba DEFINITELY the better choice than Gameiro

    Finally, as it looks like we've agreed a deal with Demba Ba, it's great to see us not just looking at people because of their name. Gameiro, tell me honestly, what has he achieved? Absolutely no idea whether or not he would be a success here, huge risk to take. With Demba Ba, we have a big strong centre forward, with 7 goals in 12 games for a relegated club. If we sign him, absolutely fantastic, can only see him being a success!

    fair shout but the only concern is his knee.. if he can stay fit I'd hope he'd be good for 20 goals with HBA and our wings supplying the ammo..

    He stayed fit the whole time for West Ham, theres no reason he doesn't stay fit with us.
    Hope we sign Gervy though

    I'd still prefer Gameiro personally, but Ba will be a fine addition to the team if he is to join <ok>

    I agree, If Gameiro moves to PSG which Laurent Blanc wants him to then we should definitely go after him

    I've got reservations about Ba to be honest. As for a better shout than Gameiro maybe ONLY in the sense that he's free (I think?!) but can't think of any other way he's better.

    I've got my doubts about Ba, but i also didn't really like the sound of Gameiro to be honest.

    I'd rather have Sturridge over either of them!!

    38 goals in 70 league games in the last two seasons, and seemingly still improving. You can't just dismiss a player by saying 'what has he achieved?', then ignoring the main potential problem with the 'definitely' better choice, the fact that he's failed numerous medicals and most likely has a major injury coming soon.

    EDIT: For comparison Ba has scored 18 goals in 46 games in last two seasons.

    Both players have pace and agility, and Ba could knock down balls for Sturridge with his height. strength and good ariel ability.

    I don't understand why people think we'd get Sturridge? Drogba looks like he's leaving, i think Anelka will be gone soon to. Chelsea will want to keep their best English players

    They seem likely to sign Lukaku and Neymar who are 2 of the best young strikers in the world
