http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ar-Lewis-Collins-dies-year-battle-cancer.html Brilliant series The Professionals. Shows how soppy tv got in the 80's and after. He shoulda been a massive star. RIP Bodie
The 'Daily Bile' omits the fact that he was at one time a member of Sixties' Liverpool band the Mojos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mojos
I once got a ' The Professionals' set for Christmas. Contained a set of handcuffs, a walkie talkie, an ID card and a 9mm pistol with a silencer attached. Best present I got that year. RIP Bodie.
You tell kids these days that you could get stuff like that and they wouldn't believe you. Would probably come with a hi-vis vest, goggles and a disclaimer if it were sold now.
Apparently once seriously considered as a replacement for Sean Connery as Bond. Cubby Broccoli thought he was 'too aggressive'! His father also managed the tragic band Badfinger! RIP Lewis Collins
You're not wrong there mate. My son hasn't moved off his play station today the lazy get. I really should do something about it but can't be arsed.
Cut the plug off it. They've got no concept whatsoever of electricity or using a screwdriver etc. Oh make sure you unplug it first.
Whilst he's in the Man Cave he's not bothering me so he can stay there. He'll be translucent by the end of the weekend.
I faced the same dilemma, but in the end I thought, 'Sod it.' Shaw's ungracious quote (below) reminded me what a world-class divvy he is. (""We spent a very tough four years together in making the Professionals, and shared in the production of what has become an icon of British television. He will be remembered as part of the childhood of so many people, and mourned by his fans. I send my love and condolences to his family, and the great many who will miss him.") http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-25135934
Yep definitely should have been him, thats removed all doubt. Martin Shaw has died. Actor and nobcheese, the puffy looking one out of The Professionals, has died by disappearing up his own arse. No one cared.
He lives a couple of miles down the road from the in laws in Norfolk. If I find out where his house is I'll do a **** on his lawn. Curly haired bell end.
Did that pressie.also contain a holster that nearly cut your arms off? If so I had the same thing. RIP bogey (as my sister called him)
Yes it did. I loved mine. I was always Doyle though when we played it as kids. Bizarrely enough my best mate always wanted to be Cowley so we didn't have a Bodie. Pair of wierdo's.
It was a great CI5 set despite the holster. Funnily enough I was always Doyle an all. I think its cos he always got the birds
