"Hitler became the DAP's 55th member and received the number 555, as the DAP added '500' to every member's number to exaggerate the party's strength."
The 1200 figure comes from the claim that the "majority " do not want the name change.I am assuming we have a 75,000-100,000 supporters and probably 35-40,000 match attenders. If we take apathy into account I would say 12,000 enrolling would be a good base line.Any less than 12,000 and I think you should concede it is a passionate minority.Nothing wrong with that but I think below 12,000 and it would be reasonable to back off from the force is with us mantra. Above 20,000 members and I would be very impressed and do not mind admitting it
What the **** are you on? 100K fans? 40K attendees regularly? I knew you lot in the yes group lived on cloud cuckoo land.
I don't think there is a yes group.. Its anti name change v those who arent that bothered I think that the not to bothered are the majority .
Before this descends into the usual ****. Fair questions from me. How many CTWD members do you think have joined? How many are season pass holders? Its reasonable, its gonig one way because Obi is in politics now. Seriously he is so passionate about this but is of a mind that he doesnt want to know how many have joined until he does the letters!!! GTF. As i said i posted as i wanted to know. If theres 10.000 then its brilliant if its 1000 Mr Allam will ignore it. What number is in peoples minds?
Did someone tell you it was the same people who turn up every week and every season.Shame on them.Next they will be telling you the world will end if they rename our stadium or change the club badge..Shame on them.Santa will soon be here if you are a good lad
If it's 1000 I'd say that's an excellent return for the early days of a single issue group. It's almost the number in the long running OSC.
20,000 and AA will be influenced imo.Whether he will do a U-turn I do not know.Same applies to CTWD if the figure is below 12,000. Would it be criminal if the spokesperson gives a figure which is not accurate?
Yes I'm passionate as are the other people involved. I explained previously why it takes time to sort out the membership list. You want figures and I haven't got them. I'll have them when I and the other volunteers get a list of names and addresses. Its unlikely to be months before we release the figures, but I doubt its going to be today either.
I personally think anything near 5000 will be a big success. Don't ask me if I think that's how many will join because I haven't the faintest.
1,000!!!!!!!!-merge this with the comedy thread You were talking about majority numbers 12,000 or bust.No more BS please!
Cheers dutch. But, It lessens its impact if they are ex pats. If its a 1000 season pass holders its different. You can argue that all you like but its true. Oh and its not a single issue group is it.
Have you been sniffing glue? 20K? That's near enough every City fan at every home match this season. And you're saying we're not being realistic. 12K would be fantastic, but it'll be in the region of 1500-2K, me thinks.
One thing I don't get is the scarves thing. Wouldn't it have made more sense to go for different colours so they could be differentiated from 'normal' City scarves? You can 't tell them apart when they're wrapped around someones's neck and stuffed into their jackets. This probably isn't the right thread to bring this up but just thought I'd mention it seeing as though this is an active thread on the CTWD campaign.
The way I see it is that these scarves are for Hull City supporters – so the colours represent the club so people can feel they are supporting the team and the campaign at the same time. To have different colours would suggest division and any City fan can join CTWD. I guess even Allam could join and try and get elected.
