nope. but it will lessen the amount we are giving away as teams won't find so many gaps.... we were criminal last week v everotn putting johnson on lukaku form set piece... every time i saw johnson pulling and dragging right up to delivery then lukaku just ran off him and was free every time. we have to get the right guys marking. yes everton are tall but johnson is well known for an inability to mark up at set piece... so is agger.
Telegraph reporting scan results show he could be out for at least 6 weeks - meaning he'll miss the next 8 games Have to wait for the official news but I have a bad feeling about this.
No, Henderson, Johnson, Flannigan, Coutinho, Suarez and Mignolet will all still be standing beside him in the opposition box when the set piece comes into ours......
Except Couts not being centre... Bit then BR has stated he has a free role so does it matter where Coutinho is drawn on the board?
The problem with out Sturridge is not enough players get in the box. If he is out the wide forwards need to get in to the box. Alberto on the right cutting in on his stronger left foot. Coutinho on the left cutting in on his right.
Reds update on Sturridge fitness Liverpool Football Club can confirm Daniel Sturridge will be assessed by the club's medical staff today after the striker rolled his ankle in training The 24-year-old was a late substitute in the Reds' 3-3 draw against Everton last weekend - and the England international netted in the 89th minute to clinch a point at Goodison Park. Sturridge returned to training at Melwood this week; however, he sustained an ankle sprain which will require further assessment. http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/150165-reds-update-on-sturridge-fitness
Say it quietly but I defended Allen after the Everton game and I'm willing to give him a proper run to see what he can do. It just depends on formation though, with the personnel available I liked us playing 433 and got some of our better results with that formation. In that formation you'll see the best of Moses in the wider position, which is where he looked decent when he first joined. If you're not going to play him when Sturridge is out, I can't see him getting muc more of a go unless it's in the number 10 role which we all know he can't play.
Fingers crossed that he'll be back for the Spurs game if that's all it is. ****ing Martin Lardarse Samuel wished this on us with his snide article in the Fail this week about how wonderful it is the Studge puts England first, and how, like Michael Owen, he'd be damned by the 'Republic of Merseyside' for doing so. Fat ****.
