Can we spare a thought of all those who have died and been injured watching a band and having a pint on a Friday night spare a thought to for their friends and family, to the police, fire service ambulance services and all my nursing colleagues and medical staff working in the hospitals treating the survivors.

Yes, I know that bar mate, near the Central Station. Spent a lot of time up Glesgae & I love the city.
Peace be with everyone involved in this incident, <peacedove>.

Do you work at the Royal Infirmary Froggy?

Police reckon there will be more fatalities so sad I personally know the bar well and have drunk/seen bands there a few times.

Gordon Smart, editor of the Scottish Sun, told the BBC:

"I can't really believe what's happened. I was on the phone at the time and I heard a misfiring engine. Looked above me, couldn't work out where it was coming from, it got louder and louder and I just spotted a helicopter falling from the sky.

It was falling at great speed. It looked like the rotors weren't spinning but the helicopter was sort of turning in a strange position and dropping at great speed. Oddly enough there was no explosion no fire ball."

Sounds like engine failure but as helicopters have more than one engine that seems unlikely to me.
If I had to guess I'd say either a problem with the fuel system or it simply ran out of fuel.

I listened to this unfold live on air on BBC Radio while I was on nightshift. It seemed quite surreal, with people who had been drinking at one end of the bar hardly aware of what had happened, and people at the other buried under the ceiling: absolutely dreadful..
