Come on Trotsky, nothing wrong with the odd back-handed complement, even in your world.

Unfortunately Fez, I live in the same world as the rest of you.

Nothing wrong with a compliment but plain old bumlicking is a no-no for any head held high.

No replies from CTWD then. Think its a fair question. Obi's come and had a look but not replied. Should be a ball park figure by now shirley??

What number are people expecting? If its 10.000 that will be impressive, if its a 1000 what do people think? Bearing in mind I think there should be a separate count of season pass holders in those two figures.

I lost track of when the memberships were actually launched, was it before or after the Palace game? Have they handed out the leaflets with the details of signing up on yet?

If they've not handed the leaflets out at games 1,000-1,500 would be good going (didn't they have £1,800 in the paypal account, which would be 900 members, or can you pay extra?), especially as it was only payday for most people yesterday. (I know it's only a couple of quid, but it's a psychological thing about not spending at the end of the month).

What's your reasoning for having a separate count of season ticket holders though? Is that just to do with the refund offer, or is there more significance to it one way or another?

CTWD want a referendum on the name change for season pass holders. You cant go to Mr Allam and say we have 5000 against the name change when they could be randoms who havent been to a City game in 30 years. Its got to be 1000 or 10000 season pass holders are against and demand a referendum.

If anything's ruining the board at the moment it's posts like this. Random unprovoked and irrelevant abuse at another poster who you don't like, but who hadn't even posted here at the time of your post.

CTWD's membership is nothing to do with a referendum. The referendum is only being pushed for because Allam promised it. Before that there was no talk of a referendum. He promised it, CTWD expected him to stick to his word. What's wrong with that?

RE the numbers. The OSC has been going 10 years and can offer loads of benefits through it's relationship and official status with the club yet it has less than 2,000 members. If CTWD have got half that in a week it will be a brilliant result.

if CTWD gets over 12,000 members I will be eating humble pie.
I am sure they will be apologising to the rest of us if they do not reach that figure-for over stating their support.
Did I ever mention the house I was born in was demolished.Same for my 1st 2 schools. How I have stayed sane with my heritage stripped away from me I will never know!-oh yeah I had to man up and make the most of things and not whine like a spoilt brat

Can you point out to me where anyone from CTWD has claimed they'll get 12,000 members?

I've got no idea how many members we have at the minute. I do know that sometime next week I'll be stuffing membership cards into envelopes, so I'll have a better idea then. This may explain why I don't want to know the membership figures.

How many am I expecting? You have to say by when, to get a sensible answer?

I thought you were bored with all this anyway.

Like Late Night Bus my first home has been knocked down as have my first school. He doesn't care about becoming Hull Tigers which is fair enough. I do and want to remain Hull City so I'm doing something about it.

Its **** going into politics isnt it. You can never say what you really think. <laugh>

Letter sent to Dr. Allam, 19.11.2013
    Dear Dr Allam,
The City Till We Die campaign group (CTWD) writes to you today to request that you work with us to consult a broad range of Hull City fans on your name change proposals.
Our proposal is that we will work with you and your public relations team to develop a simple consultation paper for distribution to supporters. The paper will be split into three sections: your justification for the name change (which we hope you will write personally to give it importance and authenticity); CTWD’s justification for why we think keeping the name Hull City is important; and a section for supporters to answer a simple two-choice question about the club’s playing name.
The CTWD group can produce artwork and copies of the agreed consultation paper. And if it is agreeable to you, we can collate and analyse the responses. All we ask in return is for you to use existing communication channels with the Club’s season ticket holders to distribute the form, either in hard copy or electronically. By using existing channels, there should be no Data Protection issues.
The Premier League and Football Association suggest that consultation with fans is needed before a club considers changing its playing name. This consultation hasn’t happened yet at Hull City and you committed to consultation when we met you recently. We now wish to work with you to make this consultation happen as soon as possible.
We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
    Yours sincerely,
City Till We Die campaign group

So the numbers of members of CTWD does not give you a mandate. So all I'm asking is how many are season pass holders, if you havent factored this in its a major mistake.

I'd say the number of passholders was a suggestion to enable a referendum and Icould be wrong but, I think it was Mr Alams suggestion, not CTWD's.

CTWD membership's a separate issue. All it needs is 201 members, and it's Mr Allam's argument that's shot out of the water.

I think you need to answer my earlier post. The bit you've emboldened is just saying they want to send the referendum to season ticket holders. But that part isn't even being debated. The issue is Allam won't do a referendum, when he promised he would. The referendum was called for because he promised it.

It seems like you're desperately searching for reasons to pull CTWD up on something, but there really isn't an issue here. They asked for him to honour his word, that's all. Nothing to do with the level of CTWD's support or anything else. Also in terms of the numbers you need to remember CTWD are a fan group like AN or CI. The No To Hull Tigers campaign is their main priority of course but they are a group in their own right now. Most fans support NTHT but like with anything that requires time and money to sign up to, only a small minority of people would do. As I said before, the club's official supporters' club only has about 1,500 members. CTWD are an unofficial supporters' group. No one expects them to get more than the OSC do they?

It doesn't even need that. Allam said only 200 people were against the name change. There will be far more against the name change than will sign up to CTWD.

I've told you what I think. I want to know the membership figures when I get the envelopes to fill not before. We will be leafleting for members tomorrow and I expect we will get more members as a result. We have a public meeting before the Stoke City match and I wouldn't be surprised if we got some cash members then.

We accept membership from non season ticket holders and I don't see that being a problem. We don't, as far as I know ask members if they have a season pass. I don't see a problem with that.

If Assem Allam wants to change the name we're asking him to ballot the season ticket holders. I don't see a problem with that either. The club will have the details together with any e-mail address. Its not difficult to send out a ballot form and ask for it to be returned, by e-mail, by post or in person.

Its not politics, it just that I can't answer the questions you want me to answer because I haven't got the information.
