Shearer and Bent are hanging off the edge of a cliff. You are the nearest to them and a crowd has gathered watching your heroics. You can save one, the other will fall to a certain death. Which one do you save? Remember, peeps are watching. You have to save one of the buggers or its murder. Who?

I'd just abstain & leave them both hanging till their fingers gave out.

Alan Shearer. Irrelevant of the fact that he played for Newcastle.

1). He was a role model for footballers. He never chased the cash, he was very loyal and he was very proud and passionate for the club he played for. It's a far cry from footballers like Bent.

2). He did a lot for our country's national team and always put his heart into it. Bent is trying, bless him.

    3).

    What's Bent done?

Plus, Bent's dodgy eyes get on my nerves. It makes him look a bit dippy.

Well lads, I have given this a lot of thought, even consulted my ten y.o .lad. Have weighed up the pros & cons of both scenarios.

So here go's. Yes, Bent did indeed do a very good job for us but got handsomely paid for doing his job so actually, we owe him **** all.

Shearer, excellent CF in his day, aye did lash the elbows about abit but his commitment to the cause was unquestionable & I bet not one of us failed to cheer whenever he scored for England. Also, he was never a pretentious **** that said he loved the fans & the area when he didn't mean it & then **** off for more wedge, which, let's face it the bloke could have done many times.

    So, I'm gonna go for............

    ...........the greedy bastard

    Bent sent into the chasm.

Bent, just cos shearer ****ed up a good career by going back to them and throwing his potential away,

Bent don't give a toss where he plays, but will win more than sheeera

    30 goals for England
206 goals for Newcastle United, his boyhood club
A large amount of time playing in the Champions League and Europe (with lots of goals)

I'd say he lived up to his potential and I'd imagine that he considers his career rather good, unless you base a 'good career' on how many medals someone can hang off their neck?

Chappaz. When you look up players profiles, success is measured in medals, cups, caps. She-ra got lots of goals, One league winners medal (FANTASTIC) and 2 I think FA cup runners up medals (again, fantastic. I once played in a 4th preliminary round and felt like a god!)

My girl (also Sunderland daft) says save Shearer cos he was loyal. I think I want him to drop cos he was loyal to the toon.

    No offence..............

You can save Darrens Bent, if Alan slips he'll fly to safety.

Chappaz, I think that what Comm means is that he could've had hatfulls of medals if he chosen other options.

But credit to him, loyalty is a thing to be admired & in very short supply, especially among footballers.
