Would have backed Bayer Leverkusen to beat Man Utd tonight if they had the excellent Sidney Sam in their side, but sadly he is injured.
Another chance to see Lars Bender, who will hopefully be a future Arsenal player as our long term replacement for Arteta/Flamini.
So, who's looking forward to Spurs' match versus the biggest club... in Norway's ninth largest urban area?
What do we want the result of Spuds v Manure to be on Sunday ? A spud win would keep some distance between us and Utd, but a Utd win would see the Spuds handed another home defeat and condemn them to their rightful place in mid table mediocrity. A draw would probably be best, but that's boring. As much as I hate seeing Utd win, I like seeing Spuds lose more so I'm going for a Utd win with RVP sliding in front of the spud fans to celebrate the winner like the **** he is
. Disagree with you on this one, I know it may sound controversial here but it would be better for us if Sp*rs took points off Manure. They are more of a threat than Sp*rs anyway.
They are, but I can't abide seeing spurs win. If they beat Utd they will all be creaming themselves again and saying the power shift is back on. Although that said, a Utd win is only slightly more palatable. Is there a way that they can both lose ?
A tough goalless draw, as usual would be best with tons of red and yellow cards like confetti. It's actually one of those games where, whatever the end result, it will be a good one for us. We just need to win our own fixture.
Totally agree. Spurs really aren't a threat for us and taking points off the champions is a priority over Spurs rivalry. Last thing we want is Manure breathing down our necks, we have Chelsea and Man City to contend with too.
Want Spurs to win, don't think Spurs will be a threat to us this season, they're fighting for top 4, we're fighting for the league, so being able to build a distance on United, or keep them away from us is the best option. Let Spurs have their one day of glory, we will still be top of the league, and they'd know they did us a favour, ;-).
A Spurs win for me. United are starting to build some sort of run and are unbeaten since that West Brom game, if they carry on like this, they are bound to go to another level and then the pressure really would be on us. If they lose against the Spuds and we beat Cardiff, then the gap would be 10 points, which is some cushion to have over the champions. This is like the good old days.
