One would do i reckon, If we think that Best and Ba can turn us into a top 10 side so i'd like a young striker with plenty of potential

  2. How about Sturridge and Welbeck

    A 5 man strike force of -

    Sturridge
    Welbeck
    Best
    Ba
    Lover

    Would be a great strikeforce.

For the right prices i'd be happy. Never really been a big fan of Welbeck and Sturridge is likely to be pricey but i'd be very happy if it all worked out well

HMT, agree he is better than anything we've got.

Bloke on TS said Everton baulked at £2.5M per year wage demands. With zero fee I don't think that's expensive by todays standards. £10M for a 4 year contract.

Remember we are paying Xisco this and he also cost £5M.

£48k a year? If he can maintain his goalscoring record at West Ham, he can have it.

My preference is Sigthorsson as i'm against going in for big money premiership signings but yeh those 2 would fill that gap

no as i'm 99.9% sure he's available for free and as for nolan i'm sure as soon as anyone bids 5m he'll be off

  11. Looks like the right man for us lads. Strong, good pace, quick, good set of feet, good finisher, could be used as a target man as he's strong in the air.

in the current climate he'll be a big asset but I still have a feeling that we will sign a true number 9 in the sense of the word..... if not.. I reckon the shirt should stay on ice until the right one comes along...

  13. No one is saying he's number 9 material mate, he's a good, powerful striker.

Demba Ba is not the answer to our **** strikeforce, sorry to break the party mood up here! I'm not going to argue it's a good signing if he was either on the cheap or free but I remember watching a couple of WHU games towards the end of the season and he went missing for long periods, and genuinely reminded me of Ameobi (the crap one) with his touch and lack of awareness on occasions.

We still need another one who is actually top quality in my opinion.... I'd rate Ba on a par with Best to be honest.

BUT to be more positive it's early in the summer and we've moved for one very good signing and one decent signing so things are looking promising.

EDIT: just read more of the thread and maybe "party mood"" wasn't the right phrase but the rest of the post stands lol
