If I had such strong convictions about the name-change as so many do on here I would go the whole nine yards and back those convictions with something meaningful. Right now it's like an employee wanting a pay rise and health benefits but rather than strike and actually use a power they possess to force their boss's hand, they are coming to work wearing a little badge on their tshirt hoping he will oblige... What do you think is going to happen? **** all. and if I was their Boss I certainly wouldn't change anything. Don't come to games, get a refund on your season pass and show how much this actually means to you. That's something I'd have more respect for , rather than defy him while enjoying the PL football he has given us. This entire debate is about fans vs owner. Each side wants to prove that they are needed by the other side. We need a rich owner to enjoy watching quality football. The owner needs fans to come and watch the football and help raise income. Therefore, you are wasting your breath unless you show AA what he could lose by carrying on with this. A sing song and a flag isn't gonna cut it I'm afraid. and I'm not defending AA because I want the name to change... I don't want the name to change. But I do see his side of things. If I wanted to change the name, because I believed it would bring extra income or because I have a personal vendetta (that is irrelevant) and it was MY business and I had forked out all this cash, I certainly wouldn't back down. he won't back down until he feels it was a wrong move. Whether the fans prove that by not showing up or demonstrating all season long or whether the numbers prove it, we shall see. But all I can see is this will probably happen and we're just gonna have to wait it out. And if he's in denial and too stubborn to admit it was a wrong move we'll just have to wait until a new owner comes in. But right now , he doesn't seem the kind to swallow his pride, so the only chance we have of him backing off is if we affect the club's income by not showing up to games and ultimately force his hand. I do not want that, I don't want the club to suffer and to create a page in our history that will be looked back upon with regret (imo). That is why I am not getting involved with CTWD.
Pi. I doubt you'l read this as you seem to be ignoring all the replies that show you've not quite grasped it, but the issue isn't really with him, it's not his decision to make. People ARE taking action, by making it clear to the people with the power to make the decision that it is far from supported by the fans.
I can just see Pi knocking his house down and starting to build a 10 storey monstrosity. People will ask him if he's got planning permission and his response will be: "It's my house and I'll do what I want. Nothing's going to stop me!" I bet he'd get upset when the council knocked down his newly built house and charge him for it. He sounds like Allam the second.

You really think anybody cares what you say? If you gave the impression that you understood what was going on and could give any logical comment then it might be different but you are unable to respond sensibly to anything. Just for balance, I think the 'issue' is AA, as he is the one forcing the 'issue', in fact he created the 'issue' and made it worse by being dishonest about this 'issue'. The final decision makers are a totally unknown quantity in this matter; all we know is that application must be made in January to the FA, some form of consultation is required (in the much mentioned talks between the FA and CTWD, has a simple definition of this been established?) and the AA created 'issue' will be resolved by the FA in April. So the questions this: When the FA have finished dealing with AA, what we be left with? FA anybody?
