Apparently there are only 3 players who have played for Sunderland, the DGRB'S and Middlesbrough. Stan Anderson, Alan Foggon and who is the third/ Does anyone know?
No mate according to stan andesron's book blurb there have been three. Searched and searched for the third one and it's irritating me now.
Paul bracewell played 4 times for SAFC the last one being player/assistant manager !. but the third player is a tough question, I have the history book and will go through until I find him, Pop robson played 3 times for us and once for Newcastle but not the Boro. I will name the player on here. THE 3RD PLAYER IS TOM URWIN, BORO 1914, MAGS 1924, SAFC 1930.
Who is he? Lol Stan Cummins I think you mean. I remember him being announced at Anfield (in the game he scored) as Stanley Nimmins? Lol I seem to remember a lot of rumour about him joining the scum after he left us but went to Palace before returning to Roker a year later.. He did play in a testimonial 11 at filth park though, so it could be correct although a trick question.
