    Could the visits of Paul Duffen have been to explain why a loan was secured against the assets of the SMC? RBS are seeking to recover the balance.

    That was well publicised in the papers at the time he did it, and so will have been audited a few times since wont it?

    one day we will get an owner and chairman which all the fans love and there is no dirty laundry to find come the end of their reign.

    is there any way to get back money previous owners have screwed out of us?

    Well, if the owner was Halle Berry and the chairman Michelle Pfeiffer, then them going naked for the duration might just about be fine! <cheers>

    It would stop the club having dirty laundry at the end of it, not sure the fans wouldn't have any though.

    Well known fact - Duffen/Bartlett mortgaged the SMC's corporate income (boxes, Premier Club et al).

    Whether this is part of the same dispute remains to be seen.
