Dark clouds were over the circuit just as it finished. Could we get our wish of some rain to spice things up???
Vettel on pole I think, McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes are right up there though. Hopefully RBR will fix Webber's Kers issue in time.
**** they on to me... I bet El_Bando's really hoping Hamilton doesn't win so he doesn't have to update 27 people with a point.
Don't see how manipulating the vote will do anything for the driver lol. Must be Ron Dennis being bored
Maybe Lewis is a member on here, I'm looking at you FF. Please rain for q3, I want to have a accurate guess.
Convinced Vettel was ligher when he set his quickest time in FP3. Sector 3 is basically all about traction, braking and straight line speed - 3 areas where Ferrari are strong, and Crofty noticed the Ferrari brilliance at the final corner. So for Vettel to be significantly faster in S3 suggests either ALONSO made an error into the hairpin, or Vettel was lighter. Looks promising for Ferrari, but I still think Hamilton will do something special here. Whatever happens, Vettel doesnt look invincible. Respect to anyone who breaks RB's run of poles.
BBC presenters interviewing Stefano Domenicali. Surely, immediately after a long piece about Bahrain, the only question to ask is: how did you vote? If they weren't going to clarify that muddy point then why did they interview him immediately after such a big piece on Bahrain?
Ricciardo looks more than likely , who will get the boot Buemi or Alguersuari. My Guess is Alguersuari, hes not peforming compared to Buemo.
Helmut Marko (I think) said that Buemi and Alguersuari are now in competition for Webber's seat, assuming he leaves Red Bull after this season. So it's not so much who gets the boot, more who gets the promotion.
I see, that puts a twist on things, but still the same outcome, although Alguersuari is the Red Bull type of guy, i think speed can be more important than likeability.
Worth noting that last season Buemi initially dominated before Alguersuari turned the tables to the point that it was buemi's seat being questioned.
Did anyone else hear Whitmarsh saying McLaren were gambling on a wet setup? Madness if you ask me, they don't need to gamble when they've got good pace, and if the rain comes down it'll be a lottery because there'll be cars in the barrier left, right and centre. Also, it pretty much rules them out for pole.
I didn't hear him say they were running a wet setup. Did he really? I know he said they'd like rain because they're not as fast as they expected to be.
both Ferrari drivers keep doing 1 fast lap, 1 slow lap... they kept doing it in practice and now qualifying
WOW Alonso is so fast. Even Massa looks good. Instead of the usual 0.5+ behind Alonso, he's only 2 tenths.
It's looking grim. I'll be happy with an Alonso challenge but I hope AG's right about McLaren and the wet setup. So - everyone out on options and a red flag or two in Q2?
