Or is your club being driven by a good PR team?

In light of the club releasing some 400 odd free tickets for tonights game to employees of the DVLA, do you think your club has passed with flying colours, or as the article title implies, is this decision driving you around the bend?

    Now! Now! Aussie!
I know an article from a Bluebird can sometimes be taxing, but there is no need to be driven to distraction. It was just a question to gauge your reactions.

I would have preferred our club to have been realistic with the ticket prices, they are looking rather stupid with so many tickets unsold, and a ridiculous price of £30.00 for a full ticket, giving away tickets is nothing new for our club, they do it every week, but on the QT............<ok>

£30.00 for early round of the Europa is a joke!..................<laugh>

    Thanks Phill. <ok>

I think they could have reduced the prices for the regulars before offering freebies to the DVLA. I would have been livid if it was City.

It's one of the reasons I'm not going tonight, my son tried to persuade me, but I've got him a freebie ticket and he's going with a friend, but I'll watch it on ITV, and when our club get their act together, then maybe I'll make the effort, in the mean time they can enjoy the plastic!..............<cheers>

The atmosphere since coming to the prem has been poor too, some games I've gone too have been like Swansea Library, hope it all changes when the expansion is done, and some of the real Jacks get their seats back!................<ok>

Upon reflection DPJ, £30 is a bit steep but I can only judge against Mainz ticket prices. I pay €15 for a home ticket and that includes a free bus to the ground!

Always the case when a team gets Prem football. Most of them would disappear if we ever got relegated. As for giving away free tickets I'd rather see bums on seats than empty patches. Most people who work in the DVLA aren't on great money and I don't begrudge it to them. I'd prefer it if they'd given them to the schools though.

But it does make me laugh that our fans are (mostly) chuffed we're in Europe but then don't go to the games. <doh>

We're unlikely to be doing this again next year aren't we? A mate of mine has gone to all the away games in Europe too but I realise that's not an option for most.

Most in DVLA are on about £16,000. Factor in taxes, rent, fuel, insurance, food and possibly child costs.... They are worse off than benefits scrounges by a long margin. I am no disappointed by this move, where are the so called loyal fans as tickets are still available. They are complaining but never had any intention of going themselves.

Come on - £30 for a ticket vs. Valencia?

Sounds like a good deal to me. If people want to go, they'll go.

    I'll be there :)

I've been to all the Euro home games, but cannot be bothered on this one, think £30.00 is a joke, do our club think they are in Chelsea or Kensington or what? Do they realise there is a very deep recession? Makes me laugh then when we have all these tickets over, because they called the wrong price on the tickets, serve them right, anyway where are all the loyal season ticket holders?............................<laugh>

I think so, not that I cannot afford it, but on principle I won't pay it for an Europa first round game, why have we got all these empty seats I wonder? Because the club got greedy with pricing, £22.00 should have been the maximium in my view. Do you know that to watch Borussia Dortmund in Germany's Bundesliga cost you just £7.54 per game!! It's no wonder gate reciepts are dropping generally, as clubs are not realistic enough, and our club need to wise up too!..............<ok>

Don't get all hung up pal - it was to do with the free hand out of tickets that I was jokingly suggesting enabled you to go.
