All i know is its work in progress that we cannot fail to take our eye off the ball so to speak. The premiership should and must come first and europe should be looked at as a bonus that we do the best we can without jeopardizing the strongest side we can put out in the premiership. If we suffer a big loss because our players have not recovered enough then our advantage will be lost and will put us in a worst position. Man city have not lost at home so the most likely outcome is we will lose anyway but i would rather lose 1-0 or 2-0 than them going on the rampage, we can cope with that. Its all about edging our bets towards the best outcome and for that we will need every single key player fit and fresh against Man city. I dont think we have enough in our locker to play the two games with most of the same players. We might win both games we don't know but because we don't know i would rather be safe than sorry...this is my personal opinion only..

Cheers for that Dai, though I think you could be on the wrong thread mate - at least it was about football......<ok>

Dear me, the VETCH and Aussie double act is in full swing I see, with Phil the parrot chipping in with the one liners. I thought for a minute it was Dilli and Dreyfus back with Dexter serving the drinks........<laugh>

Hey Ho, another decent and interesting football discussion thread derailed by the caped crusaders in the name of banter. The "one way" remark is rich coming from one of the main protaganists whenever a Cardiff poster ventured across in the past - pretty obvious pot and kettle comment there VETCH eh?.

The thread also certainly didn't need the "lighten up" remark to me from someone with a darker side on here than bloody Darth Vader. I responded to VETCH's post, and he appeared to have accepted it with his "No problem, sparkey" reply. Aussie, wades in with his put down when it had nothing at all to do with him. Aussie, you can talk football when you want to, but all too often you come across as a confrontational arse looking for the chance to snipe.

To those that entered into the spirit of the chat, I enjoyed your input to campioni's thread, though I fear the football element of it will now die.

Farewell Darth and Obiwan, and may the Farce be with you - it looks like it hasn't all gone to the other site......<laugh><ok>

I saw a good book in Waterstones the other day. It was listed under the author's name: Sparkey, Old. I was amazed. Imagine my surprise when I noticed it was a self-help book for internet forum users titled "How To Successfully Advocate Banter But Take Offence When Aimed At You - A Guide"

I was genuinely gobsmacked. Shouldn't the title have been "The Art of Stealth Wumming For Dummies"? <laugh>

Plenty of Cardiff fans would buy it I'm sure. :)

"The Art of Stealth Wumming For Dummies".

Wish I'd written that. Nice one,Knackered,oh sorry - partner!!!

Poor old sparkey, the world is down on him again.
As if following Cardiff is not a big enough burden for him to carry on a day by day, minute by minute basis,he has to deal with these nasty Jacks.
Having seemingly taken up residence on this Forum, more or less forsaking his own, here we are subjecting him to some good old fashioned ribaldry, aka banter, something he has always advocated, and he simply doesn't have what it takes to handle it.
Compare and contrast that with how he and his cohorts used to give it big back in the days of Martinez.
"Whatever happened to the likely lads",remember that, was a great series, but needed both lads quipping back and forth to make it work.
Did either one ever run home to his mum crying "he's being nasty to me"?
Come on sparkey, you've dished it out in the past, you are still wumming hereabouts, that's why you come here isn't it,to wum, although you have to be careful about it,walk on eggshells, and that cramps your style.
So get off the horse, give it a bucket of feed, and come back.
Dragon will miss you otherwise, and we don't want him getting all fretful. Not a pretty sight.

Thank you for the invite to comment Obiwan. There was no need - I hadn't gone away, you're not off the hook yet. Had to go out again this morning - no, not to Sainsburys this time - I had a book signing session at Waterstones - didn't see Darth there though.......<laugh>

OK Darth - don't try to fool us - since when could you read? You never know, you could try taking that light sabre out of your arse one day to relieve the burning sensation that comes across in your posts........<laugh>

The next time you're in Waterstones, take your mask off and see if they've got anything with pictures instead of words - my book was obviously far too deep for you. If you need any help with the stealth wumming, just ask Taff - apparently he's the daddy of us all. <ok>

I'll leave you with this thought (question?).

Is stealth wumming that bad and even worth the effort? If it's successful, it needs to go undetected - the very meaning of stealth and that would then be a pointless exercise.

If on the other hand, someone posts a comment or even an article that is quite innocuous and genuine, could it be the stealth detectives on duty read more between the lines than the lines themselves? They look for hidden meanings and combinations of letters that will reveal the real purpose of the message to other stealth agents tuned in.

It's a real shame that Bletchley Park has closed down now - you two would have got top jobs there no problem........<laugh>

I knew you'd be back, spark. Simply can't stay away. Still looking for greatness by association, and there's nothing wrong with that. Admitting it is the hard bit.

Staying away was an option I chose before the evnts of the last week or so. You'll have to try a bit harder to achieve that again - but I know you're capable.

Darth on the other hand is no match for the good Jedi. Obiwan - have you been turned?

I'm chuffed I'm Darth. No offence Vetch but Obiwan is such a wuss. I see Sparkey as Admiral "It's a trap!" Ackbar. Mainly because he looks like a fish on the end of a hook. <laugh>

I was thinking about joining the emigrees to that new board of yours, but the lack of intellect over there and the compulsory incest turned me off.

Not much better here to be fair, but I'd rather the back patting than the shirt lifting..................<laugh>

Hey Darth, when was the last time you got that heavy breathing looked at?
