    Someone is on Talksport at the moment who seems to know what he is talking about and he is claiming that Newcastle agreed terms with Demba Ba on Friday night and that he is on his way!!!!

    He will miss January because of the ACN, aswell as being injury prone. Still looks to be good if we can keep him fit!

    On his wages? You're probably right. If it's £10m over 5 years or so he'll probably say that it's £10m spent.

    There's not a great deal of forward talent about, for nowt this would be a good move. I know he picks up better wages as a result but no initial layout means we have other money for transfer fees which we pay up front nowadays apparently.

    Sweet, I have been saying I wanted Ba & Samba since the end of last season. Samba looks extremely unlikely, but I think Ba is just the striker we are looking for!

    I can't believe people are against this transfer if he is indeed free. Hopefully it is a pay as you play deal and we could have a real coup on our hands!

    nice hope this isnt the extent of wha we're going to buy on the fowards front still want Erding which could be likely if they bag Gamerio they may no longer need him :)

    A great player for free. No pennies spent at all apart from on wages. What more could we ask for?

    He better not be our priority striker though. I still want some cash spent on a top forward to spearhead the attack. Ba can be competition, or he can be rotated with the new striker to keep everyone fresh.

    Tiote can heal the sick, so he'll help Ba. However, Tiote's a busy man and i'm not sure he'll take a break from banging models to do anything else until the season starts.
