Many of those City fans (your words) would turn in their graves at the thought of us being called Hull Tigers

Yeah, of course, obviously unlike the long tradition in say Spain, Germany, Italy, France, etc

You accuse others of make things up, and then you do exactly what you're accusing them of doing, it's blatantly obvious.

I accept that people have made the individual comments but I don't think many, if any at all, have combined them all into one theory.

That he hasn't consulted with the fans.

1 Where did you get that from? My comment had nothing to do anybody on this forum running the club.
2 It is a bit frightening though, because the vast majority on this forum would run the club better than Allam, if his interviews are any indication of his ability.

Only in my eyes? My comment was in response to somebody saying how Arabs wont admit to making a mistake. I don't see how you can stretch the discussion into a specific example.

If you are talking about Allam changing the name I dont understand why you say he shouldn't take soundings from fans. This is exactly what the FA require him to do.

Why don't we have a vote on whether we will change the name of the forum IF Allam changes the playing name? I think the result will shame Allam.

That would not hold in any court. It's his business he is allowed to do it and fans are allowed to moan but that doesn't mean he has do **** about it.

That's why I'm inviting those against the name change to stop being hypocrites and pussyfooting and actually do something meaningful like not attend games and get a refund on their pass.

I'm amazed to read so many strong values and opinions not being backed to their full extent. Everyone is on their high horse but few seem willing to actually do what would have a real impact (such as not go to games).

    How are these actions "meaningful"?

    Hypocrites, pot, kettle.

Grow up. Can't you say anything without it sounding like that of a child?
WBA accused the club of wanting to change the deal at the last minute. That would only have come from Allam.

I'm not saying he shouldn't. I'm saying he doesn't have to.

Should you be forced to change the colour of your kitchen according to my advice?

I think you don't see it as polarised because you are defining the poles incorrectly. I consider the north and south of this debate to be:
North - Hull City Tigers; not happily, but it will be accepted by the majority and will prevail as their stance.
South - Hull City (drop the AFC - The Tigers, as a nickname); this won't prevail.
In other words the poles will be compromises, but both will be usurped by AA and his Hull Tigers; all of the argument is necessary (in a strange way), but ultimately futile.

It is not a case of for or against, that is a total red-herring, it is about who dislikes it enough to say NO loud enough and strong enough and, the truth is, I think those numbers will ultimately be quite small; there will be the odd muttering, but life will go on. So the ultimate poles will be:
North - probably not happy, but hey-ho, we take the name, whatever and still attend. (The huge majority)
South - they don't want it and, like me, they're gone.

There will be positioning and waffle with the FA, but very little else. AA isn't just quiet, he and his team is busy.

I ho p e you get the gist of that as I have had a little spiritual fortitude! :emoticon-0105-wink:

I'd be sceptical, as soon as it was finished you'd change your opinion & hate it.

Can't you use an ounce of logic. I explained what businesses like about the Premier League. That didn't imply that other countries didn't have long traditions. Although, of the countries you mention, the oldest FA was Italy formed in 1898 whereas the English FA was formed in 1863.

I think you need to take a long look in the mirror pal. You accuse other posters of wording their posts inappropriately and then do the same thing yourself.....constantly, and then you accuse my goodself of childish posts in, erm, a very childish manner <laugh>

Go shout mum to put your toys back in your pram, there's a good lad :emoticon-0148-yes:
