Sunderland target Darron Gibson has revealed that he is ready to leave Manchester United if he does not start playing more regularly.

It was reported earlier this week that the Black Cats had launched a triple bid for Gibson and United team-mates Wes Brown and John O'Shea.

Gibson is now waiting to see whether a move materialises - but insists he would have no problem making the switch to Wearside if it benefits his career.

The Republic of Ireland midfielder has previously been urged to quit Old Trafford by national team manager Giovanni Trapattoni as he remains a bit-part player under Sir Alex Ferguson.

And the 23-year-old has now indicated that it might be time for him to embark on a new challenge at the Stadium of Light.

not sure id want to be spending most of the henderson money on them though. brown and oshea are in the twighlights of their career, with the former regularly injured..and theres questions about whether gibbo is good enough for prem level.

<ok> Darron is never going to be good enough for United, But he is not an awful player and seems like an ok guy.
At Sunderland he will still need to step up, but is is far more concivable that he can make it there.

Please, for the love of god, let us keep O'Shea. Loan Evans out somewhere instead!

I'll take O'Shea and Evans off your hands right now! Brown is too injury prone. Gibson I haven't seen too much of but from what I've read from different places is that he's not Man Utd quality but could do a job for us.

U leave John-O alone! Gibson isn't going to set the world alight, but he's not hardly as bad as some make out.
