Why should there be three choices: for, against or don't know but the referendum would only ask: for or against? I would suggest the referendum should have three choices: for, against or don't know The FA would decide based on the results which were a true representation. It would be ridiculous to try to engineer a vote that wasn't a true representation as you suggest.
Didn't he say a couple of weeks back that he's not putting any more money in, over and above that already committed?
Forgive me if you haven't seen this from 4 pages ago, Happy. But this is what you always do. You're happy to post an argument but when someone breaks it down and tries to have a debate you go silent on that thread. Then pop up somewhere else with another separate argument.
There are so many possibilities that, given your comment, you must think any decision is irresponsible. I don't agree with you. I would only change things dramatically if I could be pretty sure they would have a very positive effect. Allam has not demonstrated that there would be any chance of a positive effect.
So you do whatever they want no matter how stupid? I suppose you would have argued that we should have given Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and Hirohito whatever they wanted. I'm glad the Allies had people in power with more balls than you.
So that means we should meekly accept anything what any owner wants to do because they could be even worse if they want to be? I'm glad I don't have to rely on you in any awkward situation.
I personally don't think he has to. Why? BECAUSE IT'S HIS CLUB. He can do it for whatever reason he wants> I really don't get what is so hard to understand. If it's a business punt then he can take it. If you wanna be pissed about it, no problem. But look at it from his point of view. The only reason he should listen to the fans is because of the revenue we bring in. If that revenue diminishes then maybe he will stop. But whining, moaning, flags and singing won't change **** all. That's why people want the cake and eat it. They want to make a decision on his behalf and all the same watch PL football. I'd be royally ****ed if I was worth £400million, I'd just spent £100million on a club and was being told by fans what decision I should or should not be taking. This isn't about a ****ing name change. This is about a business punt. This is no different to someone tearing down a historic landmark to build a modern mall. Viewed as heritage for some and as a business for others. So you're fighting emotions vs money. I'm pretty sure we all know which one will win. I'm not saying it's right , I'm saying you may as well get used to it now and hope that some other owner will bring back the heritage. It's not your call to make.
You don't have to accept **** but then get your season pass refunded and go support grimsby. He is entitled to make such a decision, the sooner you accept that the better for your sanity. It's happening.
Except you're ignoring that there's absolutely nothing to suggest it will make us money. So rather than emotions v money it's emotions v nothing.
Allam can go and **** himself. People slag off Pete Winkelman for what he did to Wimbledon, and whilst he's an abhorrent **** for trying to lure several clubs to Milton Keynes with his bag of Jew gold, WFC were going to the wall anyway. His crime was turning off the life support machine when it wasn't his choice to make, and then trying to defend himself by claiming he'd saved the club. What he'd really done was save a league position for his new entity and prevent some FA documents from becoming worthless. But Wimbledon had gone. What Allam is doing is even worse, as he's willingly destroying the club for no reason other than that he is a childish **** who has an issue with the council. He has lied, lied and lied again, and he has repeatedly insulted the good people of Hull and East Yorkshire because they had the audacity to a) disagree with him, and b) show him up for the senile old ****witt that he is. I admit it sounds like a 'no true Scotsman' fallacy to say that anybody who doesn't oppose the change (because NOBODY is FOR it) isn't a City fan, but it's true. If you really don't think the name of the ****ing club is important, then it's clear that you're not a fan of Hull City but of Premier League football. That's fine, but don't think you should have a say in what happens at my club.
"Because someone gave us £40million we should just le them **** around and say nothing? Great! can wait to see what else they are going to do. I'm sure all you sheep won't mind whatever it is and continue to rever our saviours while the slowly turn his into Allam fc."
It may be a silly name in your view, but as we've been known as "The Tigers" for many years now it obviously isn't silly in the view of all those supporters who have embraced it, the club colours, and badge since before you started watching. If you have a serious point to make please do so, but just calling it "a silly name" time after time to no real effect is just tedious.
