i think my signature jinxed us was there any opposition from these nimbys on your redevelopement plans?
meanwhile.... the soap opera continues at the mem..... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/239022-TRASH-replies-to-Higgs-statement-soup-opera-continues!
Well done shiny good commentery, still think 27000 is not enough if we hit the top flight. 40.0000 would be the mark, imagine upto 8000 away fans coming generating income in Bristol. That would leave 32000 for home fans. Too me if Lansdowns are serious about top flight football then this would be required in the grand scheme of things. 27000 is low in my estimation,i remember standing in crowds of 30000+ back in the old first division days.
will the redevelopement include extension to further increase the capacity? i know AV could have increased its capacity.
it could do, The club could decide to attatch the Atyeo with the Dolman and Williams. Would probably create another 5-7 thousand seats. That's just my guess though. To me 27000 would be enough. 30000 would of been the ideal capacity but if we were to ever make it into the topflight after our first few seasons the gates would drop if it were 40k to about 30 so if we are lucky enough to be in the prem 27k would see a packed house 90% of the time. I just want a new ****ing stadium!
I agree, I think times have changed, would much prefer a full 27k to a 3/4 full 40k. I don't for one minute say with today's prices to go to football games plus games on TV every night will we get into the 30's again. That's rose tinted glasses time. We won't get proper fans if we ever get back up there again just fans there to say they saw Manure and Chelski etc. I work with a Cardiff season ticket holder who says proper fans are the 4k that saw them in the 4th division.
