Would he be worth throwing into a few games in Jan? Seems to be getting better every game at Charlton.
I'd wait and see who we got in the FA Cup (we'll find out next week), if we get somebody of a good standard, I'd play him on the right wing, see if he can't provide Elmo with a bit of competition.
I think Elmo is a player in desperate need of being dropped. He seems a player stuck in a run of poor form. We definitely need competition for a right winger - unlikely to hurt, except that if we played him in Jan and he didn't do well, would that mean he couldn't play for any other club except Charlton or us? I've not seen him play for Charlton but if he's back to his best (from Championship days), it'd be worth a crack.
We need someone of Stewarts style, quick and direct. But we need someone with better quality, unless he can recapture his form!
We all saw how good he could have been, and knowing that this would be his last chance could push him into big performances.
I think the number of top quality minutes from Cam were very few.His wonder goal I think was a deflection.Hope he will come good but I would sooner have a fit Matty back and given a chance.Prozzy to Grimsby
This is what they think of him at the Valley http://valleytalkblog.com/2013/11/27/4-thoughts-we-must-keep-cameron-stewart-more/?We need to keep Stewart He’s already said he wants to stay at The Valley, now it’s up to us to make it happen. Cameron Stewart is exactly the kind of player you want in your starting XI. Often frustrating, always capable and sometimes special. He is the only player who can beat a man purely with his quick feet, who can conjure a chance, crack a shot on goal, out of seemingly nothing. He was sensational on Tuesday, a deserved winner of the club’s official Man of the Match poll. I go to football to entertained, to be lifted onto my feet. As such, I’m always ready to persevere with a player like Stewart. Consistency is all well and good, but it’s not exact;y what dreams are made of. Which to me says he hasn't really changed. The guy has loads of talent but no consistency and consistency is what we need
Hopefully Cam is back to his best from just before and after his injury, because if he is then he'll comfortably get in this side at the moment. Him and Brady out wide on form will get us excited that's for sure
If he was recalled and straight into the XI or even the subs bench, then surely he would have a bit of motivation. Depends on his quality and - like it has been said - if he can do it on a consistent basis
I suspect Stewart is only slightly more likely to play for Hull City than I am. He'll be gone in January.
Only if we can agree a deal with Charlton. Nobody else can sign him for more than 93 days this season because we used him in the League Cup before sending him out on loan.
