Its hard to believe that in just a couple of months he's turned the PL meanest defence in one of the leakiest. Don't think tonight's game will have much bearing on his future, after all Bayern are the best team in Europe, but conceding 3 goals to Villa and 3 to Cardiff is a worry

And to think some people actually wanted this imposter as the Liverpool manager over Rodgers or Martinez.

A thread worthy of being bumped.

If they lose to United and put on a poor show then I think he might go.

I still think he is potentially really good. Then again I can't think of any top manager getting dicked by 6.

    Not acceptable.

Bale was really papering over the cracks at Spuds. What they should have done this summer:
*Buy a couple of the attacking mids they bought this summer. 30mil for Lamela <yikes>
*Buy at least two new strikers. Ones that move, Saldado move about as much as a potato.
*Looked at new wingers (if they are going to play with Wingers) ones that can cross the ball and don't just run in straight lines
*Sort out pretty much the whole defence. The current lot are all very much average.

The whole new team thing though often backfires in the first year. And by the second year they might be falling behind the rest of the pack who have time to add extra to an already settled squad. Plus if AVB is sacked, that'll be a whole new approach again. Its a bit of a mess for Spuds at the moment.

I think you made by far the best choice for the long term. You need Rodgers style to counter the spending limits under FFP.

I can't think of any getting dicked 6-0?

Unless you're referring to Wenger who had already won pretty everything for Arsenal?

*On a side note you really are a cocky twat <ok>

    UIR is right...

    no top manager ever gets...

well 6-1 to city at home mind you... OOPPS! I grant you the one goal probably did save ferguson's career given one result seemingly costing AVB <doh>

the real men under pressure and jol and hughton but jol got in a mate recently to the club so i am thinking he is safe for the next few months.

For the record I am going to put money on Hughton getting the push from the norwich job either just before we play them or just after.

They play palace at home and if hughton plays one up here and doesn't get the win the pressure will be immense. they then have to come to us having been hammered by suarez on every game he's turned out against them.

For me thats a better bet by far than AVB and impatient spurs fans.

Utd away to spurs... should be mildly interesting to say the least but just cos city tore them a new one doesn't mean there's no fight in spurs nor that utd have it in them to beat them at all. Its a test for both sides. maybe utd will win, maybe it'll be a draw... hell maybe soldado will socre another pen in a 1-0... who knows.

I'm more interested in chelsea v southampton honestly. there could be an away win on the cards here unless mourinho bribes another ref AHEM.. did i say that, i meant get a late dodgy pen to save his unbeaten record at home for chavski

I think southampton have to be a great bet here 11/2 for southampton to win?? cheslea at 8/15.. thats crazy given the table alone.... never mind chelsea's scoring problem.

    3/1 the draw.

there has to be value somewhere in there.
