Except it's all true. We really did have to live in a hole in t'road and get up half an hour before we went to bed.
Didn't know that We had a back boiler for hot water too we used to pull the damper down (?) am I remembering that right? Conductors on buses, you could run and jump on the buses those days, they were open. I remember when the 'new' one-man buses came round and those BET tickets, you paid for a ticket for 10 journeys and put it into a machine as you got on the bus, it 'bit' a piece off. Inspectors on buses, do they still have them, haven't been on a bus in years.
In fairness mate I remember Owen Owens/Blacklers etc because whenever we had me Nan looking after us we knew what the day out would be. Either Southport or New Brighton on the train (which was great) or the 82 into town then the dullest day imaginable traipsing from BHS to Blacklers to TJ's and back
You don't know what you're missing. All that snail spotting. They do still have inspectors, but very, very rarely.
He never mentioned whether mentioned whether or not he was in the outfield or a wide receiver so I wouldn't know about his position.
