See he has signed a 90 grand a week deal for four years to play in Canada FFS, he could have gone to several Premiership clubs in January but has taken the cash, so reminicent of Gyan.
We now know where players loyalty lies, it's in their bank balances.

I wouldn't be too hard on Defoe, if you look at Sunderland's players I bet they're all on at least £40,000 a week and they get every Saturday off....:emoticon-0100-smile

Our star signing of the Summer is only on 28k a week fella. There's only the final year old guard lot who are earning anywhere near 40k a week and if they're offered a new contract it will be with a pay cut or nothing. We've done a lot of work reducing wages. The majority of the squad are on nowhere near 40k sorry to say fella. Again. Poor. You're quite rusty at the moment fella. <ok>:D

Never rated Defoe that highly TBH. Very good on his day, but he is prone to long blank patches. Should be a top player in Canada though, if he's up to the "challenge" :)

If given the choice I'd play for them for 90 over us for 30-40 and I support Sunderland... Fair play to him.
