Not that i'm rating Soldado or something, but he is after all playing for Spurs, the poor sod. If he was playing for us, he would be doing considerably better. Any striker being supported by the likes of Ozil, Cazorla, Wilshere, Arteta, Ramsey etc, under an attacking Wenger system, would do better.
He probably should have stayed at Valencia, he had a decent scoring record there. Shows what happens when you have decent players around you as oppose to average ones.
Soldildo in our system would be excellent, we actually give the front man an opportunity, he gets nothing at Spurs. He'd easily score 25 a season for us.
people moan about our lack of squad depth but , it may just be a factor in our success this season so far . With the rotation that we normally see in PL teams , players are not getting as much game time , and are not learning to operate with each other . With our lack of players , they have HAD to play and are therefore like a well oiled machine now . i think that when our injured pl;ayers come back , we could well see a slight DECLINE in our fortunes. watch this space.
it just goes to ,prove that the Chelsea fans were right , he actually DOESNT have a clue .............
It makes you wonder if we had a really good striker playing for us then what we would be doing. Its a dream for any striker to play under our midfield and attacking style of play.
He really is the modern incarnation of 'Arry, with his 'Negative Spiral' and 'Arsenal will drop points' comments, his propensity to blame everybody else when they lose and lap up the plaudits when they win and his ability to spend massive amounts of money on absolute dross. At least Arry had them playing some attractive football, AVB though is a dour, sullen version of the twitchy one. Long live AVB
Tottenham's Jermain Defoe agrees transfer to Toronto of MLS in January window Jermain Defoe has agreed an incredible £90,000-a-week switch to Major League Soccer side Toronto FC. Wow, looks like Defoe has seen sense and decided to abandon the **** ship of Spurs FC. He's so desperate to leave that he's moving to Toronto FC!
If AVB does indeed get the bullet, then there has to surely be huge question marks over that mug, Levy? He sacked a manager that got his team into the top four for two of the three seasons he was in charge of and replaced him with AVB and also gave him £100 Mil to spend in the transfer market.
The spuds seem to think he's some kind of genius businessman, but when you look at the money he's spent over the years compared to what the spuds have achieved then it shows that he's actually a bit of a shyster. He might be able to get top dollar for the players that he sells, but he has zero business acumen when it comes to replacing them. Since the PL started the Spuds have spent more than Man Utd on transfers, and that is a shocking fact. His hiring and firing record is also sketchy when you think he appointed the likes of Santini and Ramos and the fact that he fired Jol and Redknapp when they had given Spurs some of their best results in years. Long live Levy and AVB
