With the Saints youth academy producing a lot of good talent over the years I was wondering how many we can think of that have gone on to play top flight football either with or without Saints. Obviously you have

    Luke Shaw
    James Ward-Prowse
    Adam Lallana
    Alan Shearer
    Matt Le Tissier
    Theo Walcott
    Alex Oxlade Camberlain
    Gareth Bale

But what about the players that started their youth career Saints that some of us may not have known had like
    Kevin Phillips
    Dennis Wise

One I found was local lad Graham Roberts who had four years at Saints before going to Pompy to finish his youth career before making his name with Spurs.

So any player that had a youth career at Saints and played in the top flight either with or without Saints list even ones you may think as obvious because some of us olddies may have forgotten.

    Right I will start with

    Callum Chambers
    Danny Wallace
    Rod Wallace
    Ray Wallace

    Over to you

The ones Alan Shearer keeps forgetting to mention when he talks about Saints being a model club. Terry Paine, John Sydenham, Mick Channon, Bobby Stokes, Nick Holmes, Steve Mills, and numerous others I can't remember off the top of my head from back then.

Had to look it up. Nope, he played in the top division, taking over from Francis Burns, of all people. Very sad story is his. Pretty much ends his top line professional football career with a serious car accident and then is diagnosed with leukaemia later. Died at 34. I hope he was able to pack a lifetime of experiences into those years.

    Remembered another one. Martin Chivers

Lamb, I just saw that you got Nicky and Micky in before me. :)

That one reason why I like doing a thread like this it brings back memories and a lot of old names.
