We are hardly flush with options for dramatic changes

My team for what it's worth would be

    McGregor
Rosie. Faye (Chester if fit) Davies. Fig

    Elmo. Meyler Hudd Livermore Brady

    Graham

I'm guessing however Elmo will play RB and Koren on the right. Boyd might play if Brady isn't deemed okay to play.

Graham won't start but I know what you mean, our team selections do seem a bit predictable, boring and uninspiring at the moment. Elmo and Koren seem to be favourites while Boyd keeps playing wide and doing nothing. The thing I don't like is the lack of attacking players. Sagbo on his own up front dropping deep all the time, two quite conservative 'wingers' and a defensive midfield with the token Koren thrown in there for God knows what reason. Seems a bit predictable when we can't score. We need Aluko and Brady fit as soon as possible. However I'll keep supporting Brucey and his team selections as always and I don't buy this idea that fans know what position to play players in better than the manager does.

If it is I will start to be a bit more apprehensive about Brucie's tactics

I'd tend to go for something along those lines too, bearing in mind the opposition but I probably wouldn't start Brady after the way he performed first half on Saturday and Brucies comments after the game.

The trouble is, that team might well hold Liverpool's attack at bay for most of the game but I really can't see us scoring, so should we be a little more adventurous to start the game and go for:

    McGregor
    Rosie Faye (Chester) Davies Figgy
    Huddlestone Livermore
    Elmo Koren Boyd
    Graham

You might well be right, but it hardly screams goals does it?

If we had players that could make up a team that did, it would pick itself!

Bit harsh to stick Mouyokolo in there, he was class 2nd half of the season.

Surely Sagbo and Brady have to be in then as they are the only ones that have scored really, and Gedo is much more of a goal scorer than Graham

Understand why people pick the team that they want but better to pick the team Bruce will play - hard to guess I know but thinking of this is surely easier to get closer to the selection

Liverpool will arrive with a 442 I presume. They dropped Sturridge last time out due to tiredness. He will start and I see no reason for Suarez not to.
The midfield will be Coutinho Gerrard Lucas and Henderson I presume although they may play Moses as he hasn't started for a while. Other options include Joe Allen. The back four could be any from 6 or 7

Brucey could spring a surprise and play the 532. Having Davies, Faye and Fig at the back to take care of the strikers. I've a funny feeling the talk after the game about Brady was an effort to get him going. I think he will start as a wing back with possibly Rosie at the right side to manage Coutinho

Meyler Livermore and Thudd to manage the midfield with Boyd and Sagbo upfront.

I did spot a mention of Gedo up front earlier in the thread. Wondering if the next time it will be in bold or italics to stress it. He is not good enough here - more on :) (my opinion)

So, 532 for me. Job done

Has he had a chance to show whether he is good enough or not? What was it 4 goals in 5 games pre-injury last season? He can't do any worse than Graham has so I don't see how you can write him off so easily

    Mac

    McShane Davies Figgy

    Elmo Livermore Huddlestone Boyd Brady

    Sagbo Gedo

Whoops! Only just realised that McShane is out. That would require either Faye or Bruce and that makes me rethink the above formation. Pity though, because I think we can afford to be a bit more adventurous and in fact probably need to be, in order to regain a bit of confidence that might be dented after the last two games.

Is Quinn definitely out for this one?

I'd have him in there if available, no doubt about it.

    McGregor
    Rosie Davies McShane Figgy
    Meyler Thudd Livermore
    Koren Sagbo Brady

Elmo needs dropping, he seems to be able to play as **** as he likes and still gets picked the following week. He has been dire (overall) recently. Boyd's showing he has that potential to play at this level, but is struggling to make an impact.
