Great to see intent for the January transfer period. Would McD use the money to buy Blackstock or fund a couple of signings.? First time in years, Leeds have had such a dilemma in january
Sounds like good news, Never been a fan of the jan window, but nowadys players run down their contracts etc. We have Hall off the wage bill if we got rid of a couple of others and invested only in one or two QUALITY players we could be in with a shout.
Seems like they are seeing results with the work they have done so far and want to extend that further, something bates never really understood.
Sorry to be a Weary Willie on this one, but ... * what exactly is this 'investment'? Details please - is it an investment in GFH like the others? A secured/unsecured loan like the others? Another mortgage? * why is it an 'undisclosed' sum? Heard this before somewhere ... * why do we learn this from the BBC? You would expect to hear this first, or at least simultaneously on the OS, wouldn't you? * disappointed that LUST didn't break this news a few weeks ago (joke, btw!). Transparent, my arse!
I know it is going to hurt. But why not wait and see if the money materialises and in what form before slagging him off. You criticise me for being a keyboard warrior but you slag off a bloke who just possibly is stumping up more than a million quid to improve the club. It might not fit another agenda but just perhaps this is a genuine injection.
God knows, I question gfh as much as anyone, but let's just enjoy this bit of good news. Makes no difference where the money comes from as we have no say in the running of the club. It looks like they are taking a calculated gamble on trying to get promotion which is what we've all been calling for anyway. Two months ago, I'd written this season off, not anymore though.
The "undisclosed" bit will be to ensure clubs that BMD might possiby talking to won't know how much we have available. I hope BMD's first target is Blackstock. After that, I don't really care. We have otions throughout the squad, & the only other thing I'd like to see is those no longer featuring in BMD's plans moving on.
I agree with others making Blackstock permanent should be first priority his link up play with McCormack is probably why Ross is on fire atm....
Ross is on fire KM because he's finally playing in his best and most natural position. Blackstock is certainly helping. But I think any of our forward would be good for McCormack in this 352 formation
Oh god am I in a minority of one again. I am not convinced by Dexter. I wouldn't be paying big money for him.
Transparent, ****ing hate that word, Why should they tell the world what they have invested, Bet you don't walk in the pub saying I earn ####### quids a year.
Not slagging him off. Au contraire. Simply got some questions I'd like to ask. I'm particularly perturbed that LUFC chose not to release this news to the fans themselves - and still haven't commented on it. Just because it's on the BBC doesn't make it true! THIS IS NOT YET AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!! So far, it's 'the BBC understands'.
Boggers, if that's the answer, then why announce it? (If indeed he has - still no official confirmation). Why tell any of the opposition you've had a cash injection st all if you want to hide your financial situation from other clubs?
Is that the LUFC meeting I still have the ticket for? The one that was 'postponed' so DH could go to a funeral? He's had more than 6 months to reorganise another. Perhaps he doesn't like being asked awkward questions.
