Yes - but during the game is maybe not the time to do the protesting. How about before kick off or even at half-time?
Excellent post johnbo, if we could chant every song with "city" in it for 90 mins that would be good and certinaly get our point across. Not just here but it's on Sky so to millions. Might even get us recognised in these markets AA wants to crack
So a number of posters have stated that some away grounds ban banners - so if the club decides that they should be banned at the KC, would this be termed as an Allam is against free speech issue or an we are just falling in line with other clubs on this issue issue. And I suspect anyone could instantly give the opinions on this issue of a lot of the posters on here.
Personally, I'd like to see home flags encouraged and all away flags confiscated or not allowed in. Stick the away fans up in the gods in the West Upper too.
Have they? The only thing I've seen on the subject is that were wrongly stopped from bringing banners into away ends at Everton and Southampton despite already having sought and been granted prior permission.
Some don't allow away fans to bring banners in, I don't know any that ban their own fans from bringing them in.
Numerous ideas as to how 'supporters' can show their disagreement with The Allams proposals to change the clubs name, and Allam himself rather amusingly suggests if you don't like; hand your tickets back in for a refund; personally I say keep playing (or not) as we did on Saturday and the fans will disappear in any event!! Bl**dy awful. I don't know what i'm more disappointed with, our performance or our inability to change it and create some pace during a game. Over to you Brucey; that said if the lads can't get up for a game against Liverpool than we really are in the s**t!
I appreciate your concern. It would not surprise me if the club did start banning protestors over these matters. It would seem the next step for an organisation that tries to prevent peaceful protest. Spread the word though. If we succeed here, it's a victory for all of football as it'll be the marker against any owner trying to change the history of a club. I recently said that we were a laughing stock -but maybe our campaign is the light in this darkness. It was genuinely nice to read the respect of the Cardiff fans, who at the same time, lamented their own inaction: http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=127800
Losing both Brady and Aluko as lost our good movement up front we no longer break away quickly have no chance of getting to the byline and poor Hudders one of the best passers we have ever had as to play sideways instead of to one of the runners because we haven't got any. We have got to get more pace on the wings
Agreed. We're not actually creating many chances for a new striker to take. Not got a clue about any potential options though, I'd guess we'd look abroad though I wonder if there's any lower league wingers who could step up?
Nordin Amrabat is a great winger, I really think we should get him. Also, we should take a punt on Nahki Wells from Bradford. Looks a brilliant larker. They'd surely accept between £1/£2M for him in League One (I know he's not a winger, just thought I'd throw that out there... )
Amrabat the player from Gala? Can't say I've seen him play to be honest. Wells does seem to be excelling in Div 4 and 3. Hard to know on the fee (lower league clubs don't get stiffed that often these days) and are Bratfud that skint since a double Wembley appearance? Surely, they'll also see him as their chance of second tier football and would need a big offer.
Yeah, that's the one. Mancini has apparently said he's surplus to requirements at Galatasaray so we should be able to get him for cheap as chips. There's no harm in testing their resolve though? Put a cheeky £1M bid in, and see what gets said. A Bradford supporting mate of mine reckons that the board has said they had accepted a £1.5M bid back in the Summer (non-Premier League Club) but he got an injury and it fell through. The temptation of Premier League football, even Championship at the lowest should we get relegated, would maybe make him ask the Club to consider it.
Apart from the little incident with the stewards i don't see how singing City Till We Die etc and parading banners which aren't bad around the stadium can be bad on the players? It improves atmosphere and does this mean in future references whenever we sing CTWD we're protesting? ridiculous I'd understand if it was anti allam chants
Steve Bruce has every right to ask that. Like with any business, if you dont like how it is being run then dont go and spend your money. The owner has even offered to refund your money. So either put up or shut up. Stop spoiling it for the majority.
