Tramp n Swank very similar. ya right tho used to get 6 bottles of double on the table so I didnt have to go for a hit n miss
I worked with Chubby Brown years ago at the Sunderland Empire (about 20 years back)- I was lead singer in a support band for him. He was a brilliant lad backstage and never stopped. His brain was working overtime with every little aspect of what we were doing as a band. I was the butt of an awful lot of his jokes - mainly the size of my manhood as (back when I was 18) I had quite a 6 pack going on and stuff (unlike the keg I carry now) and the women were baying for me... He's a twat! But he was brilliant. He's not my favourite to watch - I love Rod Gilbert - but I saw the work Chubbs put it back stage and he was much more than people give him credit for. Also saw Ben Elton do a comedy club gig in Newcastle - he was hilarious. Had me in tears laughing
Didn't he have a comedy partner? Justin something Collins who stalked, controlled and kicked the **** out of his ex girlfriend? Dodgy ****. He was **** as well.
Seen both and very clever, the pair of them ......... quite like Al Murray who's way more intelligent than he appears. I once saw Ardal O'Hanlon who turned nasty on a crowd at a 'race meeting ball' and burned the ****ers alive.
Michael McIntyre is about as funny as herpes, so are most of the comics around today. Current stand ups I do like are Lee Mack, Micky Flanagan, Ross Noble, Milton Jones, Tim Vine, Sean Lock and Jack Dee. Thus guy is brilliant and my favourite currently. Stewart Francis
I'm pleased its not just me then. Paul Whitehouse has to be one of the most talented and incredibly funny blokes I've ever seen and yet he has just drifted into these ****e embarrassing Aviva ads (well paid I'd imagine like, so not knocking him) but his talent deserves so much more than this surely? I always thought he would go into films as he is a brilliant comic actor as well.
I've had kicks in the knackers that I've laughed at more than any of Micheal McIntyres so called jokes. How that bloke sell any tickets or DVDs I have no idea. An utter cock
He puts me in mind of Les Dawson's slow witted humourless son ........... he always looks like he's acting the part rather then being the part.
he was a funny fella edit- s'pose this should have posted in the 'liked comedian' thread
Ricky Gervais, horrible, unfunny, cruel prick. Frankie Boyle, similar. Couldn't get away with Laurel & Hardy either, just didn't find them funny. Perhaps not stand up though?
I reckon Jack Dee just copied Dawson's world-weary persona but never learned to play the piano as badly
