Well I'm not stopping you. I just think it makes your opinion biased and it therefore loses credibility. I wouldn't let My feelings towards him (i don't have any really positive or negative) cloud my judgement on this issue. Better to stay objective in my opinion for the better of the club.
By all means, feel that way about AA....but Chillo has a point: keep it to yourself. [I, too, feel insulted by AA, and have myself posted insulting things back (on here). But it's going to get us nowhere - the calm, measured CTWD way is far better.]
I don't really know what to make of it all. Would like to take it at face value, Eman and her husband just taking an interest in a local club and putting some money in but there is still a little niggle at the back of my mind that this is not the whole picture. From a long time ago I have had a mistrust of Mr Allam. I have never met him, but have spoken to people who have had past dealings with him and I just have an unexplainable gut instinct that he is not as generous as he appears. Not without an ulterior motive anyway.
And irrelevant. And lousy. United in what? Also so is North. Who cares about north? Ferriby Toffs. It's got a ring to it.
So despite the story being "a married couple who are related to Dr Allam have bought N Ferriby", its nice to see that's used as an excuse by our more pitiful posters to attack the good Doctor. It's no wonder some of you lack credibility.
Are you comparing us to a man who has lied about the name-change, denying it was going ahead? A man who would take 3 years' soundings on the commercial advantage of name-change, then saying that it was going ahead, as no-one tells him how to run his businesses? Don't insult us. Please?
Some random thoughts. Grooming his son in law for a role at City? Peculiar conicidence this on the day Geraghty is talking about a new leisure/swimming/ice rink in town.
It doesn't sound like he's going to have much of a direct involvement at Ferriby, never mind one at City.
Fair. The way you posted originally suggested there was something wrong with a mistrust of Allam. I make no bones about my distrust and dislike of the man.
This may be me barking (yes a cat barking grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!) up the wrong tree. But let's look at one possible scenario Papa has brought this club (NF Utd) for his daughter (so one of the children is getting some inheritance - that is to the poster who keeps referring to the debts at the club Papa owns as his children's inheritance), which as a benign daddy he is allowed to do for his darling daughter. NOW - if the FA, PL and FL come the new year decide that the name can be changed to Hull Tigers, the CTWD group if they want to emulate what fans at Manchester United did who were unhappy with the Glazers and form a new club called Hull City AFC (bare with - my Tilly from Miranda moment), as that name would no longer be registered to a club come the end of the season, - which they would be entitled to do, where would said Hull City AFC play, the nearest ground to Hull is no longer able to be shared with the new club. That may sound far fetched but if the anti-name change posters are correct about the stubbornness of the man and all the other comments, then may he not have thought "i'll show them."
I think he is now playing you.You have no idea what he will do next.If he relocates US to Ferriby or Melton I will go to see the TIGERS there. It will be brilliant when PMT has to proudly support the new hull city at Costello.Take a look at the break away man utd fans.See your future.I am and will remain a TIGER What league will Costello need to start in.Actually does not matter-I will be long gone before they get out of Sunday league as will my mate in the self righteous brigade.
