"Needless to say that would be disastrous for us"

About as disastrous as if Spurs and other clubs recall loan players.

You have two Spurs players on loan, whose abilities are beyond the league QPR are playing in.
How many such players do you have from other clubs who are being charitable to you ??

What, in the name of all that is good and holy, has that got to do with Spurs potentially bringing Redknapp back?

All I said was it would be disastrous if we lost our Manager. We were headed for the Conference but he's turned the whole thing around in a few Summer months.

As for Loan Players, like I said I don't know why you brought that up. Needless to say if Redknapp was to go back to Spurs those players would probably go with him so it would be a double-whammy. But there'd be far greater consequences to Harry leaving than just losing a couple of loan players. The whole squad would be in turmoil having worked so hard for him and got us into a very good position. And God knows who'd they'd bring in to replace him. Fu*king Gary Megson or someone probably.

Anyway RBDB, forgetting about your immediate and rather bizarre deflection from the OP, would you like to see Redknapp replace Villas Boas as Manager?

Why would I want a manager back who failed to deliver when the pressure/expectation to
do so was well and truly on him ??

I would however like our two loan players back in the fold. Far more useful to the current cause.

Is there anyone else on here? Is this chap always this strange?

"You are a most peculiar individual."

For wanting our two loan players back when Spurs have an LB injury crisis
and poorly performing CM playmakers ??

    Most "peculiar" indeed.

Harry's odds dropped drastically for the Chelsea job twice when he was with us, I wouldn't worry about it.

He was odds-on to be England manager, too.

I get the feeling he bet a large amount on it, too...

I'd jump for joy mate if he returned but I personally think it'll never happen. His and Levy's relationship is really sour and unless they can somehow hug it out and be chums again, Harry returning to Spurs is no-goer.

I said somewhere else on here that it wouldn't massively surprise me, if Villas-Boas were to leave.
The squad wouldn't even need much work to suit Redknapp. Recall Assou-Ekotto and that's about it.
If he could be persuaded to work with Baldini and slightly adjust his back room staff, then Levy might even think it was all worthwhile.

The bookies are probably just covering themselves at the moment, though.
He returned to Pompey, so it would hardly be a first for him.

I 'm not so sure Levy would go for that, even if he thought it was the right thing to do. He outed Harry, and was AVB's main advocate. I very much doubt that Uncle Joe would be too impressed with Levy basically, publicly admitting... " I ****ed up" by taking Harry back..just my opinion.

Levy has gone back to the continental DOF system which Redknapp insisted he didn't want when he last came so does anyone really think Levy will dismantle that again? No chance!

I would take harry back. Yes we fell short when he was in charge but at least the football was exciting. I had the best night of my football watching life seeing us beat Inter Milan 3-1 at WHL. I have never heard an atmosphere like it.
I think Benny being sent on loan sums up everything about AVB. He is a player with flair who dos the unexpected. He is not the type of footballer that AVB wants in our team more the pity.

Looking back with some kind of tinted glasses at the Redknapp era and wanting him back is to me a little like believing in Santa Claus. Yes he bring some good presents but there is little future in it. This is a manager who struggled with a squad much smaller than our present one and failed to keep all his players onside. This is a man who thought 4th was overachieving and that we should be grateful for what HE had done for us.

I enjoyed some of the games we saw under him but there were also a lot of very frustrating ones when his sanity was queried. There are similarities between AVB and Redknapp in their ability to piss off players as their ego's get in the way and no way do I want the constant media crap all over again thanks very much.

If you think Redknapp is the best Spurs can do then you have set your sights very low IMO.

Rest easy, I'd say. I can't see Harry back at all. AVB gone is certainly looking likelier, but Levy would never hire Harry again.

The interesting question to me is what I'd say myself. Harry's zen management style is brilliant, IMO, but there are a number of other qualities he has that are likable enough in a human being but not at all what you want in the manager of whatever we are, the 12th biggest club in the world?

I suppose I would go for it as long as I knew he wouldn't ditch us for England, that he'd come out and say no way, no how, when Hodgson gets sacked, I mean if Hodgson gets sacked. But I can't see him doing that, I wouldn't trust him if he says it now, so I'd say no.
