WBA and Villa just drew 2-2 so we stay top half. Good game with the Baggies going 2-0 up in the first 15 mins. Every little helps
Villa looked clueless first half, and West Brom sat back too much in the second half. Watching this game, it reminded me how good we can be - we are easily capable of beating either of these teams. Onwards and upwards!
I've never rated Long that much. If you remember he was invisible for Reading in our playoff final. But both of his goals were excellent tonight. A great take for the first that killed the long ball stone dead and a sublime chip for the second. That lad is capable for sure but doesn't seem to do it often enough but I have to say he's definitely improving.
Always rated Long as a cool finisher. He does tend to disappear in some games but I put that down to a lack of decent service - much the same as Bony.
Yep, maybe ivor. His strength seems to be chasing down long balls. I seem to remember a lot of his goals coming from that sort of thing - as did both last night.
