Nah, there is funny and there is shockingly funny. He was just shocking. There was no humour in his performance at times. It's a shame as he can be really funny.
Harry Hill was surprisingly good in stand up. One of the best things he said was the truest, "Apparently you can tell a lot about a person ............ by how there are."
Had the privilege of seeing Bob Monkhouse, sheer brilliance, sharp as a tack and funny as ****, nothing like you see on TV. So, so funny but I also love Tommy Cooper, didn't have to say anything but he always had me crying with laughter.
To be fair, I did expect him to be like this, but he was far worse than I imagined. I met people there who are friends and they thought the same. The beauty of hindsight I suppose, as I wouldn't go again.
I totally agree but he was funny back then ....... saw Jenny Eclair the following month and she was great anarl.
cant say i've ever laughed at anything he's ever had to say, bit like forsyth, never once made me laugh in my whole life sarah millican is funny btw
Bill Hicks. 'a lot of christians where crucifixes around their neck do you think if jesus comes back he'd ever want to see another ****ing cross'?
Donkeys years ago was the turn at a police inspector's do in a Middlesbrough catholic club. There had been a lot of robberies from fruit machines recently. Arriving on stage he noticed a large crucifix on the back wall. his opening line was "I see yrr've got the bastard who's been Robbin the bandits!!!"
Spike Milligan, Tommy Cooper & Les Dawson for the oldies Mighty Boosh, Al Murray & Sarah Millican for the younguns
