Anthony Knockaert returns from suspension and could come straight back into the team. Sean St. Ledger got injured on international duty and will be out for the forseeable future as will Tom Hopper who got injured in training. Ritchie De Laet is close to returning but wont be rushed back. For Millwall Martyn Waghorn is ineligible. So here is what I would go with Schmeichel Moore Wasilewski Morgan Konchesky Hammond James Drinkwater Vardy Nugent Dyer Subs- Logan, Miquel, King, Knockaert, Schlupp, Taylor-Fletcher, Wood
Probably this, anything from this game is a bonus, they are one of our bogey teams we for some reason struggle against. Maybe our players don't want their cars smashed into like ours did when we played Millwall a few seasons ago -.-
An interesting one - may depend on the formation he elects for at the back .... either way I'll be surprised if Andy King is dropped ..
Hammond, James, and Drinkwater, whilst being a midfield trio I quite like, is a little defensive. Someone in there needs to be running into the box and attacking, and the only midfielder who really does that here is King. It would be harsh to drop any of these three though as it does sound like they all had a good game (half in James' case, but he's always in contention here) against Ipswich.
Millwall are a very scrappy team so we need to win the midfield battle. We never do against Millwall and thats part of the reason why we never beat them. Having King, Knockaert and Wood coming off the bench gives us options the change the game if we need to
I reckon the 'reborn' Dyer will be the difference now he's getting some of those final touches right.
http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/251113-lloyd-dyer-citys-silent-assassin-1194628.aspx People all saying (including me) give Dyer, Nugent, Schmeichel, Morgan and others new contracts asap. Maybe part of the reason everyone is playing so well is because their trying to earn new deals rather then doing what Gallagher has done since last year. Know his future is sorted so just cruise and watch the money come in So in some ways we dont want to give out new contracts yet but we run the risk of losing the players for nothing. Kasper especially will attract interest from across europe so he will be the hardest to keep of the lot. Lloyd Dyer has said many times he loves this club and he feels that this is "his" club.
Good luck getting Schmeichel to sign one, that's why we sold him.He wanted to let his contract run down so he could leave for free and get a big contract, looks like he's doing the same with you.
No one would blame him if he did. Not one of us expects Kasper to be here next season unless were playing in the Prem and even then there is no guarantees. All of us including the club would rather see him leave for nothing in the summer rather then selling him to make a couple of quid last summer. You get ripped off selling him for 1M. Anyway what happened to selling him because he wasnt good enough?
I feel we cant offer contracts as the wages mean that we don't know who we can keep - totally dependent on the division
If Wes and Kasper signed new deals we could easily sell them at the end of the season Lloyd Dyer would be easily affordable either way
I've never said he wasn't good enough,I have said he's not as good as some Leicester fans have posted but I don't see him every week like you do,but the bits I have seen recently have not changed my mind on that one.
You've seen in the last few games that he can be "not good enough" he was like that all the time at Leeds
Yea but it was all the time, not one off stuff. We knew he had the potential but he wasn't signing a contract for us to wait for the potential to become a reality, we needed to rate him for what he was then and not what he was gonna be in 5 years time. It was the right thing selling him then because of this although I think ideally he would've signed a contract. It didn't matter as we had a better (imo. anyway) keeper the following year. I don't rate Kenny though and think he is one of our weaknesses in our team and don't let MTMB convince you otherwise.
