Following on from the Monty Python thread.
Who is your favourite comedian and what's your favourite joke of theirs ?
I can't choose between Chubby (you fat bastard) Brown and Micky Flanagan.

Billy Connolly in his prime was probably imho the funniest I've seen , Peter Kay used to make laugh find him boring and samey now -the 70's acts like Dodds, Cooper, Monkhouse, Barker etc beat the modern comedians hands down I reckon

I watched Frankie Howard on stage for nearly two hours, never told a joke or finished a story but everyone came out drained through laughing.

Still haven't a clue what he was on about.

Not sure if this guy is still doing the rounds but Johnny Casson.

A good old fashioned stand up comedian.

It has to be chubby for me.

I remeber watching him years ago in Christies pub before he made his name. It was one of the funniest shows I'v seen. There were only about 20 of us in the bar (Wednesday night I think).

Can anybody remeber watching the strippers downstairs in 5th Avenue before the match (first time I ever saw a woman naked):emoticon-0105-wink:

Seen him at Scarboro years and years ago. Always thought he was a smarmy b*stard but what a very clever and funny man.

I saw Frankie Boyle at the Empire last year. Massively disappointed. He took the whole kids/ peado thing too far.

Seen Chubbs there too. Pissed myself laughing all the way through!

I'm surprised no-one had mentioned Lee Evans! Not one I look to watch but he cracks me up. Always on one of the comedy channels too.

    Eddie Murphy Delerious :

if you've never sat through this, its a corker, if i waste 1hr 8mins from suggesting it, then i'm sorry in advance, superb, borderline self indulgent but still superb, probably need to be 30+ to get everything

Never understand this, given that he is renowned for how far he takes things.
