I do love how tobes is gloating over a 3-3 draw and a on loan player they've no chance of keeping.

had allen been a player at all and slotted that chance everton were done. if fact had the ref been a man everon were done.

Fact is merseyside has to improving sides but one thinks a home draw is something to gloat on when in fact they got two gimmes from their opponent and fluffed another easy chance while letting in 3 set peice goals. Here i was thinking tobes would be raging his side made such errors

    Who's gloating?

A draw against you lot is nothing to gloat about, it's not 1977 <ok>

As for Lukaku, we've got as much chance of getting him full time next season, as you have of keeping goofy <whistle>

I can see lukaku telling Chelsea to do one after twice going on loan and showing the goods actually. I can see AC Milan, Inter, Dortmund, etc having a look. He could boss the Italian league I think.

I think there'll always been one ahead of him at Chelsea, as the Russian likes signing marque strikers.

Anyone's guess where he'll end up. We'll certainly be a much weaker side without him, that's for sure.

They have some seriously talented youngsters on their books - De Bruyne, Schurrle, Lukaku, Courtois. They also had Matic!

With a bit of stability and more faith in their youngsters, they could have had a really team without the need of spending shed loads.

I know Mourinho has his eye on on a marquee forward, falcao, Lewandowski, etc. Shame with Lukaku but that was a lot of money spent to loan, loan, and even if he came back , would probably be sitting behind Torres and Eto'o. With AC lacking firepower apart from Balotelli, I can see that as a real desitination spot, would play a lot too.

  7. Is that along the same lines of your prediction about Luis' attitude should he be forced to stay? <whistle>

I can't see an Italian team coaughing up and he won't be allowed to join a rival. Only way Suarez will leave is if one of the two Spanish giants or Bayern come knocking. That applies whether we get top four or not.

    You guys can't afford Lukaku.

I think all of those players you mentioned cost a pretty penny but I get your point! Keep what you already have and build with them instead of jumping out for the quick fix.

  9. They did cost a small (in Chelsea terms) fortune! I think Lukaku was about £17m alone <yikes>

    Edit: just checked...

Lol true, but compared to £50m Torres and £30m Willian - bloody bargains <ok>

    Matic cost £1.5m
    De Bruyne cost £7-8m
    Schurrle - £18m
    Marko Marin - £7m
    Courtois - £8m

Some fantastic youngsters and majority are pretty well valued.

  12. So with the "10m-£17m on Lukaku, that's a total outlay of £47m-£59m <yikes>

Marin. I really thought he was going to do well in the prem as he was lighting up the bundesliga, which is a good league. Think he went to the wrong team though and never really kicked on/lost all confidence.

£60m on 6 players is pretty good going, especially in this day and age.

Especially considering the fact that likes of Matic is now valued at £25m plus, and Lukaku must be nearing the £20m now ...

    EDIT:

And Courtois is smashing it for At Madrid!

Good value but the players who are now worth the most played the least at Chelsea and grew at other clubs. Now Chelsea can make a nice little return of investment but would think you would want those players at your club. Courtois is beyong 20 mil now he is at that good too.

How do you know that like?

As you don't know what (if anything) would buy him, nor how much we might have available next summer.

It's unlikely, but not impossible, there's plenty of variables in the mix between now & next summer.

I feel like we have heard this a lot in the past few days..... <laugh>

I think the WC will have a big bearing on it as I can see him sneaking in front of Benteke if his form does not improve.

Small question, wasn't it Agger and Skrtel that also conceeded two goals in last years fixture at Goodison as well? Or was Coates in there? Can't remember.

I feel there would be a lot of competition for his signature, regardless of price which could ultimately rule you out.
