Well done today lads, enjoyed Cardiff's never giving up and their determination until the final whistle, as for arse hair head the dirty little twat should have got a straight red, but the legacy of Fergie/referees lives on.

Straight red no doubt but Medel should have also gone later. A well deserved draw - it would have been a travesty if Man U took all threee points because they were very poor. Shame they didn't play like that at our place. As for Rooney, he was their best player by a country mile. They missed RVP yesterday and they look a much poorer team without him.

If Rooney had walked then I would guess Medel would have seen red. However, Fellani had been warned by the ref a number of times and didn't get booked even after the warning.
Fellani is a prick. He's a thug with out the skillset needed to play for Man U in centre mid. That they paid £10m more than City paid Yaya for such a talentless player is hilarious. I think we'd have coped better for 3 minutes without Medel than Utd would have for 80 odd minutes with out Rooney.
Storm in a teacup, Gary was just helping Fellaini get a hair out of his eye. Dead right about the endless list of warnings to the floor mop. While not sending off Rooney, the ref had a good first half but seemed to lose it second half and not helped by the lino in front of the Ninian Stand. Stupid, petty bookings for KTC and Whitts. In particular Whitts and their guy were having a little wrestle, their guy fell over and Whitts got booked. It happened twice more with other players but the ref did nothing more than give a free kick. No consistency at all. As for Rooney, most around by me thought it was worth no more than a booking but having seen the tv replays it was clearly a red. Lucky granny shagger.
Can't see the point in all this "it was too early in the game" stuff. It was either violent conduct or it wasn't. Whether it was the first minute or the last is irrelevent, if it was, there is only the red card option. Are the pundits saying that if it had happened in the second half he'd have sent him off? If so that's bloody ludicrous. The ref either saw it as no more than a petulant clip at the back of Mutch's legs and gave the yellow as a result, or he completely bottled the "big" decision against a "big" player at a "big" club. From where I was on the other side of the pitch, I must say it looked like an ankle tap trip at the time, but after the video re-runs, there is no question that it was violent conduct and he should have gone no matter the time of the incident. Medel was lucky for that obvious retaliation, but Fellaini was a bloody disgrace throughout the match and clearly stuck his elbow in Medel's neck immediately before to provoke the reaction. He chould have been booked several times before that elbow - Man U should have finished that game with 9 men. All in all, the game was a great advert for Cardiff City FC if not for referees.
Trying to be impartial here; I am unsurprised the ref didn't send him off. The air kick was a blur from his angle at speed. He interpreted it as a yellow and being old school, I cannot argue with that. I'd have been disappointed if a City player had been red carded for that. Medel's swipe wouldn't have hurt a fly. But technically it's a hands on face offence so he should have gone. Stupid thing to do; he cost us a point at Villa Park by a terrible shirt pull and nearly cost us another by that swipe. (he also lost Evra for his goal). I suspect that he may get a retrospective ban which would be disastrous. Over 90 minutes a fair result. I doubt city will face a more ineffective midfield than Man U's all season. Be a lot different verus Ozil, Ramsey, Carzola, Arteta, Wilshire etc

If Rooney had clipped Mutch's left leg with his right I'd have said it was a clip of his ankles and a yellow. The fact that Rooney turned sideways to get a better kick at him with his right suggests it was pre-mediated and should therefore have been red. At least it shows Rooney as an ordinary player. So one footed. Can't even foul with his left. And how could you book Medel for a hand in the face. He'd never be able to reach, he's about 2 foot 6 shorter than Fellaini.
Sorry, but Rooney isn't an 'ordinary player'. One of the best players in the League imo. Just watch his passing - rarely does one go astray and he was their best player yesterday. His link up play with RVP is outstanding and that's what cost Man U yesterday because they looked ordinary without the Dutchman who is one of the few players around who can turn a game when he's on the pitch. Cardiff more than deserved the result though.
Thought Rooney was quality. Take him (and RVP) out of that team and I feel its very average. And what a pass by Giggs
The best 4 passes of the game were 1 Whittingham to Mutch 2. Mutch to Campbell 3. Giggs to Wellbeck 4. Giggs to Rooney The first 2 led to a goal. The latter 2 should have.
Considering he's a good 10 years older than most of the players on the pitch for him to still able to play those passes is quite remarkable. Mutch's ball was brilliant as well.
The ref spoke to Medel about the incident, I know there was talk after the Mcmanaman challenge so have the rules changed to allow Medel to be punished despite the fact the ref saw it? You missed out that Medel conceded the corner for the goal he didn't mark Evra from. I know that seems harsh but he tackled with the wrong foot meaning he swiped the ball towards the by line instead of out for a throw. The little details have a huge effect in such a competitive league. Man U went out of their way to avoid conceding corners to us. They were eventually undone by a similarly stupid challenge on Noone giving away a fantastic attacking set piece when he seemed to be running down a blind alley.
