" Any person sporting Liverpool colours in the Home sections will be ejected from the Stadium and banned for life. Any person found to have sold tickets to persons sporting Liverpool colours will also be banned for life. This is in keeping with ground regulations. Stewards and Matchday Security have been reminded of their duties in this regard and will be vigilant. Please help us by reporting any offenders. The club is proud of its passionate and loyal support, and wants to encourage a 'fortress' mentality for home games in keeping with this. The club acknowledges some supporters were angered by heavy-handed stewarding in the East Stand on Saturday and is reviewing its operations. We hope the fans will continue to work with us towards our common goals this season, despite any differing views on some club policies. We value your continued backing of the team.Up the Tigers!" No, actually I just made that up. It took me five minutes and cost me nothing........ See how easy it is?
More likely to be something along the lines of "we welcome fans of Liverpool Reds in to our home stands and stronglt urge all home supporters to allow them to cheer on their team and celebrate any goals. Should any home supporters display aggressive behaviour towards fans of Liverpool Reds they will be ejected immediately and banned from the KC Stadium".
The executive area will be awash with Liverpool supporters as it has been the previous two times we've played them at the KC. FACT
I'd like to see the local media question someone at the club regarding the stewarding the other day to simply ask do they stand by the actions of the stewards or did they make a mistake? Be interesting to hear Allam's answer to that.
The club have released this: http://www.hullcityafc.net///news/article/201314-liverpool-h-show-your-colours-1198227.aspx Firstly, anyone else find that statement cringeworthy? That last sentence... why not just say what Agro has said ffs?
****ing pathetic. I hope they got rolled up in flags and torn in half when the stewards try to steal the flags. Then get hit by a bus for good measure. Seriously they need to threaten ejection to any opposition fans in the home end. No other club would willingly allow it and just ask them not to display their colours.
I dont remember Adam Pearson issuing any statement about this when Stevie G (god he's gorgeous) was last here!! Worra ****. Anyway theres an empty seat behind me and one next to the lad. FFS guess what sort of **** will be sat in it.
Yes, why havent the club come out and explained their view on what happened on Saturday. With heavy handed stewarding we've had to endure for years a situation like that was bound to happen sooner or later.
"and for the first time in this Premier League campaign, we welcome one of the truly great clubs of English football to Hull" from the club's press release today. We've already welcomed one of the truly historic clubs to the KC except no one noticed because they're not as fashionable as the so-called 'big' clubs these days. Founder members of the league, 7 league titles, 7 FA cups, 5 league cups AND the European Cup. Thanks Nick Thompson - you've just given Paul Lambert his team talk when we go and play at Villa.....
That statement reeks of "small club" mentality... It also states that, despite the obvious problems that away fans being in home ends engenders, the club don't really give a **** and are only bothered about selling tickets... Not to mention the CEO's lack of a footballing education...
It's a shame that club don't appear to be a committed as the supporters when it comes to making the ground a fortress and an intimidating place to come. Instead the club comes across as happy clappy 'oh well let's all sit together in the home seats regardless of what team we support'. These things are also a measure of how top clubs manage their affairs- away fans made to feel under pressure, in a minority, unwelcome.
