I don't normally go on Facebook over a weekend, I've had a look now but I can't see it, I assume it's been deleted. I have though seen your posts, you really have made a bit of a fool of yourself haven't you? If anyone wants to join a new City Facebook group, where anyone who mentions the name change is instantly banned, then there's now a site for you.
Male bovine fecies. Sky dont broadcast Saturday 3pm kick offs. You went didn't you.... I wouldn't blame you, it's hard to resist the urge to watch your team. Even if the was a crazed chainsaw murderer chopping a random fan to confetti at each home game I reckon I'd still take my chances.
Fez I answered your post, giving the reasons that are posted. Not because I agree with them, but they are the reasons. As for the honesty of a forum, come on, look back at the spats that you have had. The meeting with the council failed because of a specific reason. I asked when I first heard it, someone who you spoke of in your last PM for his opinion and he said that it sounded about right as he had experienced the same thing one more than one occasion and it upset him.
You wouldn't have to take your chances: SNF - Match Choice • Sky Sports 1 Sat 30th Nov, 10:00pm Extended highlights of Saturday's matches in the Barclays Premier League. Press the red button to access the match choice menu. Also in HD Not bad coverage.
I am talking about honesty generally, as an every day coin; when you are dealing with someone who is being constantly dishonest and manipulative, it is the real position of worth. What folk know can easily be brought to the internet; if you are inferring that it is not AA that is misleading us, then I do wonder why he failed to refute the statements made by HCC. (if he did I cannot find them)
Yeah nice deflection. It was two posts ago now that I called you on your massive inconsistencies between posts, yet your response hasn't been to address that it's just been to try and distract from that by making silly jokes about me being a child. Yet you say I can't have a debate? I'm the one trying to get you to explain your position! So have you got an answer yet? How come you think we should do whatever Allam says yet your other posts go on about what a bad boy you are and how you'd condone your son twatting random people in public if they stand up at football matches? I think only a very tiny minority didn't support it and that was primarily out of a distrust for Allam. Even I trusted him back then. I still think the idea was brilliant and should have gone ahead and it not doing was a huge shame, but it not doing doesn't have to mean we need to make any changes to the club's name or badge. The two aren't related.
This seems to be the main point made by people suggesting that Allam can do whatever he likes, they are scared of going down a few leagues instead of growing some balls and having principles
I think a new owner is what the club needs at this moment in time as the present one disregards the supporters in a way that is completely unacceptable on the premise that if he pulls out we are doomed, when in fact a better run club could attract new investment and work with the fans not ignore and antagonise them.
It's interesting how people look at the potential scenarios from the extremes: Allam leaving and Hull City in league 2 vs Allam staying and Hull Tigers in the premier league, Allam leaving and the club going into liquidation. If Assem wanted out now then he'd probably have to take a major hit on his investment. There isn't a long list of potential buyers for the club and there is not that much future potential as a business investment beyond Sky money now that we are in the top flight. Realistically the options open to him are: 1. Sell it cheap and keep his loan on the balance sheet to be paid off over the next few years. 2. Run it down by selling off anyone who is worth any fee (and if this were done in a panic then they'd be sold for knock-down prices) continue to claim the parachute payments and play the juniors in the lower leagues. 3. Extract as much money as he can from the company, and then call in his own loan on whatever is outstanding and liquidate the club. 1. is unlikely to happen as a buyer wouldn't want a huge loan on the balance sheet that could be recalled at any time and potentially liquidate the club. 2. is a potential outcome. He could reclaim his money and some not-so-rich businessman could buy the club back in league 2 and try and go back up the leagues. 3. is unlikely because the fans' ire at liquidating the club would probably have knock-on effects on Allam Marine. He'd probably be run out of town as the man who destroyed the football club. Income from supporters is becoming less and less important at the top end of the game and, if he wants to remain in charge, from a business point of view he probably sees a "go big or go home" strategy as being less risky at this juncture due to the vast majority of current income being guaranteed. In summary, I don't think he will walk away. He may run the club down and sell it once he's extracted as much from it as he can or he may stay and do things his way (i.e. what he's doing now). 10,000 fans a game vs 24,000 = ~ 14,000@say £30 * 19 is roughly £8-9m per season. This is not an insignificant amount of money but is small when compared to tv money of £60-80m. In the meantime he can get a healthy 5% return on a £50-60m investment (not brilliant but pretty good in the current economic environment) by maintaining the status quo.
As I said yesterday, the most efficient way for Assem Allam to cut his losses is not to walk away, but to stay and run the club down. I don't know why anyone would imagine he would or could "Walk away".
He's only doing what the vast majority of his predecessors have done in that respect- view fans as ungrateful oiks who seem to be scuppering his masterplan. The sad thing us there is no guarantee that his successor will be any better, and may well be worse. Be careful what you wish for.
The most efficient way is to stay in the Premier League, we have plenty of players on big wages that there would be no queue for, if the money is to be drawn out, it needs to be Premier League money, not just parachute payments.
The positive thing is that there is no guarantee that his successor will be any worse, and may well be much better.
That goes without saying, but I was making the point that should he become so disillusioned with the club / fans that he thought "Right, it's not going to be my project anymore, it's time to get my money back", then the best way to do that would be to take all the income due over the next 4 years, pay off the obligations and pocket the difference.
