Brady has recently offered an olive branch. It is up to Assem Allam whether he picks it up or not. Geraghty offered Assem Allam a joint venture to develop the sports village that was turned down by Assem Allam. I don't know what happened at the meeting to sour relations. I suspect fault lies on both sides. If the offer had been excepted we'd have an extended stadium, a sports village and some income generating businesses on the KC site. I think it was a mistake on both sides but we can't go back.
cant , its a private facebook group I used to run until last night .. I know OLM is a member so maybe he can ... something needs doing before it gets stupid .. the season is on a train track and tbh is close to being derailed at the minute
What can CTWD do about it. I would hope they would ask people not to participate in any pitch invasion and make it clear to the press, supporters and Allam that the idiots who do this are not associated with the group.
You get more enigmatic. Have the group contacted the councillors i mentioned and tried to broker something there? I reckon the answers no but it would be nice to hear it in a post from you. I'm hoping it is yes and you have asked for a meeting with them.
As you seem to know all about it, and you claim it's your group, you look to be in the best place to deal with it. This is a general forum, CTWD have their own website. If you feel its something to do with them, you can contact them directly. http://www.citytillwedie.com/ Let us know how you get on.
I am not so sure about Brady (I am sure his wasn't the only dissenting voice), but AA knows exactly what he is doing - except for how the voice against is unified and strengthened with every collective gesture and incident. For 'Lakeside view': Most folk are not mugs
just had a thread tucked away asking for a campaign specific song rather than an existing favourite. It would show the actual level of support for the protest. It was tucked away. No balls organisers on this CTWD non forum. Pile of s**** low life imho 48 years.I never knew the likes of some of the organisers existed
I am against the name change, however I'm starting to think that the tactics of the anti campaign are wrong. Clearly Mr Allam is not a man to back down, the harder he is pushed the harder he pushes back. Take into account his egyptian roots & their code of honour (tho you could argue he has gone back on his word & thus brings dishonour upon himself & his family)their deference to status / age etc (he feels he should be deferred to given his status & I guess us fans are of lower status & thus cannot expect to make decisions "no-one will tell me what to do...") His interpretation of 'consultation' being a bit different to our western idea...all of this should be taken into account in dealings with him. Maybe then could a more fruitful relationship be developed. 'Be strong like water' as the chinese guy suggests, steady pressure not 'hard' pushing (as in protests etc) Time to back off a tad I think, the point is made, time now to gather support in a steady quieter way. At the moment support is splitting following saturday & I have to say (tho the stewards were clearly wrong) such events are an unwanted distraction - creates a bad vibe around the place which I feel will ultimately affect the team.(SB feels the same it seems) overall we're in decent nick but we need a good Jan window & therefore we need a chairman in a better mood. I'm not advocating backing down but being a bit more canny & cognisant of what we are dealing with...
Do you have a song in support of our owner? It would surely be sung by the 22000 in favour of his idea.
