So Utd and Cardiff score from set pieces-AGAIN. Why can't we? And Rooney misses a sitter in the dying moments-he won't miss it against us.

I am so embarrassed by today's result. I actually had an offer to go to the game today but because I've been feeling a bit rough I thought I'd give it a miss, especially as my record at the Etihad is two games two losses but thank **** I didn't pay to watch this atrocity. If the club/ staff/ players had any sort of decency they'd refund tickets and travel costs to every fan that attended today because no one deserved to pay to witness that.

I didn't think we'd win, I'm sure I predicted a 4-0 or 4-1 loss in the prediction thread but 6-0 against a City side that wasn't even out of 3rd gear is a bloody disgrace. The players are in no way blameless especially with Lloris gifting away a 14 second opener but they look so ****ing clueless on the pitch that I may as well run on and show them what to do with a ****ing football. Football IS a simple game, no matter how scientific people want to try and be about it, the aim of the game is to score more than your opponent, not pass the ball side-to-****ing side until you get to the opposition box only to then pass back or waste possession.

AVB is clueless, he's useless and quite frankly a very **** manager. 12 games into the season should be plenty of time to at least see some sort of improvement, whether it be marginal or more but quite frankly I'm going into games praying we get another penalty as that seems the only way we can score in the league. We are 9th in the table with what is arguably our best squad ever in the Premier League yet you'd think it was the worst under this planks' guidance. The man STILL doesn't know his best team.

I've said previously give AVB at least until the end of the season, I'm afraid I've changed my mind, I want him gone now. I can't wait for the day until I see "Club Statement" on the OS announcing the club has parted company with the man. He was "Baled" out last season and now he's been found out. No doubt this comment will get dislikes and "kneejerk" replies but this isn't kneejerk, this has been the case for pretty much 18 months with Bale-papered cracks smoothing things over.

For anyone that may ask "well who would you want to replace him with then?!" my answer quite frankly is - anyone.

I'm starting to feel this way too. And surely no-one could have the gall to say you're being "knee-jerk". The managerial change, the way we've chosen to re-invest the huge income from transfer fees - it's been a huge cock-up.

No Bale this year and it's clear as day - Spurs are a team who have dropped in quality player-for-player over the last two years and we now have a bunch of over-priced strangers who look like they're losing faith (lots of dropped heads and frustration) and look short, basically, of talent. Talent that we do have is being wasted (Adebayor and BAE in the wilderness, Carroll loaned to the Championship, Huddlestone sold, Sandro not played for many games, Lennon not played...) and this has the feeling, as I said a couple of weeks ago,of the end of a managerial appointment - it all just looks like the nuclear option is all that's available. Waiting for things to click could take a very, very long time.

I've tried to bite my lip on so many occasions but today was just the last draw. City are quality, especially at home and I can accept that but we just crumbled and allowed them to play with ease. The attitude of players wreak of a manager that's lost his dressing room. The OS over the past few weeks has posted articles of how the team are determined and positive and that goals will come along with videos suggesting the good vibe in the camp, I can't help but feel this just a ploy to try and keep the fans from worrying and panicking.

Experience is hard to say, but more tactical nous than AVB? Yes.

I didn't think anyone gave up. We were chasing the game after the disastrous start and City punished every mistake we made. The second goal was the real killer - we'd clawed our way back into it but took too many risks from then. Playing 442 with Lamela on the wing is never going to work - he has no defensive capabilities at all currently.

The reality is that we've gone from a manager who did well with 3 excellent players and 8 very good ones buttons didn't use the 11 good ones at all to one who is trying to deal with a squad of about 25 who are more evenly matched but some of whom are very young and still work in progress. Changing the manager now would be crazy in my opinion. We've got no right to be top four and we're not far away from that in any case. Have patience and support our manager

  11. At this point in time, I'm prepared to give Mick McCarthy a go.

You just cant predict which spurs team is going to turn up on any given game, Today was awful display and crumbled after the 13 second sucker punch,

I think we can agree that any game plan goes out of the window when a team concedes in such a poor fashion after only 14 seconds. It shouldn't always be that way, but it frequently is. Quite why so many view Lloris as "world class" has always mystified me, but that's something for another day.

My main concern is the lack of progress and lack of development of his side. There is no reason to take optimism because the signs are not there. AVB has been frank in his post match interview. He now needs to back thist up with a positive reaction to today's debacle. United at the Lane is always a big fixture. Let's hope he gets it right this time.

If you pop over to our prediction league you'll see that, on the contrary, most of us did predict this, we've been awful all season, our only good game being the Norwich win.

I was a big believer in AVB and his vision, time and time again I have said to my work colleagues and my friends that he will come good. Today I am biting the bullet and quite frankly fed up with his vision. his own arrogance and stubborness will be his downfall.

My main gripes are as follows.

Super Jan is our best centre back, yet he is playing left back. BAE is on loan at QPR - Good one Andre, how about you recall him and give him a fair crack.

Chriches (sp) - Been playing very well lately. However, AVB decides to drop him and play Dawson and Kaboul. Why change it around?

Adebeyor - Finally AVB, we are not scoring goals and you have another striker so you finally decide to play him. Wait a minute you have been making him train with youth team. AVB did not make the decision to being Ade back - someone has told him to drop his grudge and get him in the team.

Lamella - everybody will be calling him a waste of money, fine call him what you want. Lamella found his success playing on the right at Roma, yet his playing him out of position. So he is not only adpating to a new league but also a new position.

Substitutions - does anybody else find them very predictable? 60-70 minutes everyweek AVB normally does the following - Takes off a winger to bring on a central player. After 5 minutes he brings off another central player for a winger. Why the hell is he not swapping a winger for a winger and central for central. Does he think he is bamboozling the opposition, I am pretty sure they are all savvy enough to know where a spurs player actually plays.

**** me Andre you are not kidding anyone - shape up or leave.

Didn't we make a double substitution and one at half time? I'm not against criticising AVB but lets at least criticise him for stuff that actually happened.

I did not review my post, I was on hold with HMRC and they answered at that point. It was meant to read bar yesterday.

    Edit:

Am I wrong or the only one who notices this in previous games? the fact that its not a like for like subsitution. The like for like happens in an arse about face way.

Ah fair enough. Personally I don't think subs is a big problem, well not compared to the other problems like not scoring and having no idea how we should be setting up to play, let alone a starting line up.

That's Avb all over, ignore the simple effective method and instead complicate the process. I mean he even has to give subs post it notes. Ridiculous.

I assume that Chiriches was left out because of his facial injury. I don't think that the manager's to blame for that one.
