I'm not so sure Smug mate. What concerns me is Charlie Adam's post match interview, he said that Friend told him the tackle was good, it was the speed of the follow through that got Brown sent off. If that's right, then the decision won't be overturned.

If he's telling players not to tackle hard he's asking every player who's making a tackle to risk injuring themselves. It's a ridiculous notion, there's nothing within the rule book that comments on the speed a tackle, It was controlled, clean and inside the rules of the game in every single way.

Just sent this e-mail to the FA, I wonder if I'll receive an answer!

Would it be possible for refereeing decisions to be seriously looked at, Kevin Friend officiated at the Stoke v Sunderland game, sent a player of for actually missing the opponent & getting the ball, then dismissed a challenge on Steven Fletcher by the Stoke goalkeeper, the goalkeeper went in studs high & in first & caught Fletcher in the chest.

I along with others are starting to wonder what the FA has against Sunderland AFC & the possibility of referees being open to bribes from certain clubs, today a certain MUFC player (incidently an England player) enjoyed putting himself about against Cardiff City, but that was acceptable.

So , please answer the question, are the referees on the take, or has the FA something against Sunderland AFC

I have no argument with you Bri, in fact I agree entirely that it was a controlled and legal tackle, I'm just telling you what was said by Adam. However if a referee believes a tackle is reckless, the player gets a yellow card or dangerous the player gets a red card, that is in the rules.

Of course it will be rescinded..They really have no choice with the evidence at their disposal. If they don't then it will be another absolute travesty, just like two decisions that Friend gave against us yesterday...

Was this the same referee who gave a penalty against John Mensah against Liverpool despite the "foul" taking place outside the penalty area?

You don't have to touch the man, the tackle just has to be reckless to get a yellow and dangerous to get a red.

Rooney, Gerard, and a few other premier players. Have a bet on which Sunderland player will be sent off at Villa next week ?, I reckon Larsson. The vendetta continues against us.

I don't know why you keep going on about Cabaye and Tiote. What about Gerrard and Rooney, who seem to be immune from red cards, despite their often dirty tackles? Frankly, there are players in the English game who profit from special treatment.
