    I get Barton likes to play the hard man role, but when can you just throw your toys out and just kick out at someone and it be oh well just a warning?

    Having made it clear that action can still be taken against players who receive a yellow, it will be very interesting to see how the FA also ignore Rooney's assault.

    The ref must not have actually seen what happened. It must have thought there was a tangle of legs or something. No way he'd only issue a yellow had he seen what happened
