This club has survived many stupid owners and it will always survive stupid owners. If Allam walks away or runs the club into the ground like has been suggested on here it will just go to show that he is NOT the great benefactor that you all seem to think he is
I'm no financial boffin, but someone put some rough figures up on how much was actual cash and how much was security against other debts. I know some of the capital would generate a return anyway, but is there much of an argument that the interest and salary he's receiving is in someway to making up that shortfall? Also, if we/he's trying to generate income to (in some degree) pay the outstanding debt, what would be the motive for an outside investor?
There's nothing in your post I disagree with, but none of it alters the position we are in. The future of this club isn't in your hands or mine, it isn't in CTWD's hands. Everyone can shout to the moon about how unfair it all is but that changes nothing. The fact is Assam Allam will decide our future and confrontation like we saw yesterday will only push his decision one way. If we ultimately want the club to survive and prosper we need the empty-headed noise makers to back off and let intelligent negotiators talk to him in a civilised way.
Most of the people against the anti name change campaign seem to suggest that going ahead with the nonsense "Hull Tigers" name gives us a divine passage to security in the Premier League? We could easily end up in League 2 being called Hull Tigers as we could with Hull City AFC. It's not an either or. We can have success in the Premier League as Hull City AFC much like we could have abysmal football in League 2 as Hull Tigers. If we're so hell bent on chasing revenue, why not follow Cardiff and change our playing colours, our stadium (his own, so he can monopolise the area around it as Coventry have blatantly done so well with this haven't they?). Then what do you have left? All because you don't want to piss off a man with a bit of cash in his pocket.
let's see. when you say "YOU'd rather ruin it for us" and "YOU'd rather kill the club" and "the damage YOU are causing", what you mean is that you fear the owner is so irrational and spiteful that he would deliberately damage the club to get back at the people who disagree with him? sounds like fear to me. gosh, those moral values of yours are very different, aren't they?
You can't negotiate with dictators, they either get their own way or that's it. As Merchantman said we have survived all the other owners, the advantage we have now is that if Mr Allam does walk away then at least we are in the Premiership so somebody might see us as a good opportunity for investment, if not we will carry on as we always do no matter which joker is in charge.
Things are now very personal.Open season on AA for being outspoken. OK.I am proposing someone else is really getting off on this. Here are some clues A.He knows Ash B.He knows Paul Dixon C.He is well connected with the local boxing community D.He knows lots of influential people and does not mind sharing this fact with the rest of us D.He can afford to buy things for his kids that most of us could not I could go on and on about his achievements-but the person is not the "arrogant" swaggering AA If anyone thinks they know who he is can you show him the bit in the "bid video" about the personal qualities we value in Hull and those we do not. He may deny he is getting a lot out of all this.I doubt it. Anyone recognise him?
This has been attempted already, Craig. CTWD and various board reps had a civilised meeting with him; and then he just refuted all that had been said.
So, you hold wide-ranging conversations about my posts then. Glad I occupy your time. The rest of your drivel I'll ignore, as you clearly feel either threatened or inadequate. But if you want dumming down then, yes, just for you I'll make an effort; so **** off, there's a good lad. (or perhaps you'd rather take up someting you disagree with, which is the usual convention.)
This thread claims "Allam WILL walk away" - I don't think he will. I think he is committed to establishing the club (be that as Hull City AFC, Hull City Tigers or Hull Tigers) in the Premier League - and doing it HIS way. However much fans sing "City Till I die" his attitude will remain unchanged and he will see the job through for as long as he can.
Not being funny fez....have you been to any home games this season ? Personally I don't even look to see where Mr Allan sits or if he is in the stadium.
This is much better Fez.Stick to this and you will stop all the abuse.By the way thank you for the good lad label.A confidence boost for someone of my age
Stan. I'm sure you recognise as much as me that this thing is going nowhere. The future of our club is stuck between a rock and a hard place with the threat of things escalating badly. There is only one possible solution that can allow both sides to withdraw with their pride intact and that is a compromise. 'Hull City Tigers' gives both sides something but not everything and a chance to move on.
